This squad is for last season's Irani trophy which was postponed due to third wave of COVID., not current one. Current champion is saurastra. MP were last year.

But RoI squad should be based on current form no?  Saini Sakariya Mukesh Kumar isn't exactly what's best Indian domestics have to offer.

Nah. This team is selected based on last year's performers. For current season, another team will be selected that will include performers of this season. This is 2022 Irani trophy game, not 2023.

Kuldeep Sen Umran Malik Mukesh Kumar played last Irani trophy game based on 2021 season or an eye towards future? 

I don't think selectors are consistent with their methods. 

There is no transparency left.

So this selection panel is also favouring trundlers or its Dravid and Co. asking for such bowlers.

None of the above 3 has intnl. potential in them , Why are they picking them ?
