The only way opposition can beat India in India...

On truly sporting wickets one cannot beat India in Indian. It's these extra soin friendly pitches where the gap between the quality of spinners of the two sides diminishes. And there's always a risk of us being 50/5. In fact, it happens every time. Most of our wins are due to the lower order batting and not bona fide batsmen. And yet, we keep giving them chances after chances. Lyon, who was averaging 30+ in India, has out bowled both of our spinners in last two matches. It can only happen when we give him such tracks. We shouldn't be afraid of losing on sporting wickets, that's our strength now.

Its like coin toss when pitches are that bad. Samething can happen to those Green Mambas where teams like Pakistan can defeat better teams.

Yeah, obviously. I don't have anything against a particular type of pitch.

We expected this scenario.  If you roll out tracks like this it will back fire. This warning shot was there even before the series. But India's batting depth have saved them from embarrassment time and again. Moment they failed we were found wanting. I can't even say Axar failed here. He was not out in both the innings. But batted way down the order. May be bit of common sense he could have batted up ahd held one end. In this case both ends were open.

Dint we dish this out to England and still pumped them 3 -1 albeit it was a close game in 2 of those matches. We need pant sundar etc for these type of pitches otherwise we will struggle. We are missing literally 3 of our best players.

Kuldeep. We don't need boom in India. Umesh should is just as deadly.

As for others

Jaiswal 100% sure he would smash Oz bowlers

Sarfraz

Man wht a strong team we can field yet we choose not to

yes shami, umesh as pacers; kuldeep as lead spinner; Jaddu as AR; axar + sundar as 5th bowler.

New Zealand beat us in first test fair and square and out of desperation, Rohit decided to make turners in next two matches. :wall:

I mean, there is nothing wrong if it is your strength, but our batsmen cannot win matches on such pitches.

Those were not rank turners. NZ batsmen and Pant showed how to bat here.

Our superstars are just bad and can't bat at any pitch except patta.  Succumbed to pace in 1st session, not batting even a session

This was blunder by Indian team to prepare turners in last two tests and scheduling matches in this season in  Bangalore. It reeked of over confidence.India needs to move to system of fixed test venues for major sides and rotate against minor sides.

Main problem is this--

Given our team strength, the tracks provided were not the best (which is just a part of a bigger problem).

I generally don't have a problem with any kind of pitches, but we didn't utilize our resources fully.

I we had players capable of batting here, I would have had no problem with these tracks.

Exactly. You need to adapt according to pitch and conditions.

It's the mindset nowadays where everybody is attacking in the team.Earlier Pujara ,Rahane abroad could defend and hold one end.Nowadays we are trying to be over aggressive and batsman lack patience.
