lol at comparing current Aussie side with India...  We had to doctor pitches excessively to beat them in India recently.  Talent & skill level gap of both sides is huge. 

This Aussie side is going to be second best after 2003 Australia side..

If this was possible by BCCI, they would do it. However, playing IPL has not made us a good international IPL team. ICF guys are a tiny minority. No other Indian gives a rat's auss about test kirkut. Even 1 day cricket has lost its flavor.

Indian team and Aussie team is totally polar opposite. Should never be used in same line. Last year wasn't the first time we royally *ed up in 4th innings. SA almost chased down 420+ in 2013. Add on that so many *ed up sub-200 chases where so called chase master never showed up.

Duckett reminds me of Parthiv Patel a bit...  Guy was fierce on cut & hook.  Even used to square cut fuller length balls due to his midget height

Better than Bharat guy. But his ceiling was hardly 40-50 runs in international cricket. Never really played long innings. Duckett has more shots and can be decent choice after so many openers England has tried in last so many years.

Rohit Kohli seems to be playing like forever.  Remember even Bumrah & Siraj are pushing at 30 soon. 

Hazel is 32 & debuted in 2014 or so. 

Shami is 33 only in Indian world too lmao

Yeah Duckett is obviously much superior than PP.  But always felt PP was twice the player DK was mentally & had better skill set.  Too bad he played in a era dominated by ATG batters in Indian team.  Even his brief test comeback in 2016 was impressive for a wk batter.

They will play for atleast 3 more years. Cummins 5+. These guys are built like tank. Remember in 2020-21 BGT, WHEN we had to play reserves because our player were getting injured after one game and Cummins was bowling relentlessly till the very last phase of game at Gabba. They played with same attack in those 4 tests and hardly apart from 3-4 pacers have debuted post 2014. Their bowling attack is going to be same for 3 more years before they will unearth another gem. In spin department, Murphy is ready to take over Lyon.

I dont see it. India did beat the same prime Aussie attack twice. Away from home. Our batting unit just sucks now. They will only get worse from here. Fit or not. Aussie attack that is.

Yeah they always seem to find someone to take over at right moment.  Superior sports culture &,  planning for you. 

The trioka will be hard to replace but I sense Starc retiring soon maybe after this Summer..  In case they finally win a away Ashes.

Getting injured ?why?  Shami got hit and had his arm broken.

Ishant was unlucky and twisted his ankle before the series. 

 

We had to use reserves. We were forced to. Had the other 2 been fit we would have still played them and they would have been just fine. 

 

Also it's a lot easier when you are tall to bowl bouncers. You dot. Have to strain your back. 

 

Also you aren't understanding this scenario. 

 

Batsmen like Smith Warner labu make a huge difference.

 

When your batsmen can bat long and grind opponents, it fatigues the bowlers. 

 

We dont have good quality batsmen. 

 

I believe this is our worst unit in history. Batting that is. 

 

Take Smith out of Australia and they would lose 4 0 to India. 

 

India dont have any stand out batsmen barring pant.

Pitches. Bouncy pitches yields pacers. 

 

Our pitches are death beds for pacers. 

 

Our pacers are quality. We have plenty in domestics. Just need proper chances. Need a proper coach like arun back. Not paras.
