Stats don't always tell complete story.He is not a good bowler. He is so slow and brainless that even number 11  was able to score runs easily against him.

Yeah he did at Times just to use PP but isn't an opener. V Iyer is a very limited batsman.

His usp was little movement at pace...now pace is gone so that little movement don't trouble many.

If I remember correctly, this year in IPL Umesh clocked 146 as his fastest. Mavi's quickest was 141 in last year IPL (as far as what I recall).

What a poor pitch in game between WZ vs NZ. Even Rahul Tripathi is bowling handgrenads which is going tough for the batters.

 

On the same pitch, our substandard spinners and cutter bowlers thrive while quick fast bowlers aren't getting any help with the old ball.

I watched little bit of today's match. All they kept saying how fast bowlers need line and length and bowl with control.

 

No one said bowl fast , this line and length nonsense is so ingrained in the minds of everyone invloved with Indian cricket.

 

They could not wait to kick one guy who wanted his bowlers to bowl fast.
