On second thought, did he really said tailender ? Given the way they love to distort the pronounciations, I think he wanted to say "tel andar".
That's a wild guess though why did the tel (oil) is andar (inside).

Indians butcher pronunciations in both Urdu and English. The Indian English accent is notorious for being the worst accent in the world and is an easy target for racism and bullying these days. As far as the words you mention, those are features of the Punjabi accent that some Pakistanis of the Punjabi ethnicity have, more so people that grew up in smaller towns and villages as is the case with a lot of our cricketers, since cricket as a career is mostly pursued by the working class in Pakistan - I personally don’t get the anti Punjabi and anti countryside racism a lot of Indians harbor, low IQ bigots like Gobar Arya like to mock the Punjabi Urdu dialect yet most Indians have regional accents themselves and sound even more ridiculous. Misusing “Kari” in place of “kiya”, mispronouncing the letters Z as J and vice versa, S as Sh (saying Salwar instead of Shalwar), and the overemphasis on the letter T, are hallmarks of the Indian accent that most Pakistanis find unpleasant to hear. I guess people like what they’re more familiar with and I personally don’t like listening to Indians speak either Urdu/Hindi or English (Unless they were raised in the west).

It depends on the perspective.

 

The excuses which you wrote as an "accent" of Punjabi flavour is incorrect. Ofcourse, if you have lived in that diaspora since childhood for you it will sound business as usual, but the pronunciations are incorrect.

Even the Afghani players pronounce these words better than the Pak players.

 

At the Indian side of Punjab as well, people speak these general day to day words with more sincerety. I think it's just the general jaahilpan of Pakistani folks as don't understand language nuances is and hence end up butchering Urdu, Punjabi & English altogether. That was one of the biggest reason why Bangladesh along with India kicked their butt in 1971, the jaahil Pak general simply couldn't understand the importance of language.

 

The difference in tonality that you mentioned in the words is cause of certain regions who don't have Hindi as their prime language, so they mix it with their words. For ex Ashwin will speak Hindi in a different way than Siraj, Ganguly, Rohit or Virat. Although, while speaking English generally people are more alert and hence don't make the same mistakes which they do in Hindi.

 

Regarding fun of accent, well it's understandable as it's not a native language and US believes anyone who speaks differently is funny. They make fun of even French & Brit folks for the way they pronounce "r". But any Indian who lives there for 5-7 years can easily catchup.
