I was thinking along the same line.  However, there could be another scenario that losing bilateral series could force our TM and selectors to go back to oldies like Vada Pav & Coolie for the T20WC.  That could prove to be catastrophic.

Good point.   However, the bitter reality is 'Glass Sundar' remains unavailable most of the time due to injury.  One month before the WC, he got badly injured while fielding (in a very unathletic manner) in one of the Asian Games.

We are facing it from last 10 years, hence instead of celebrating team victory people are content while celebrating individual milestones.
