Singh bling Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 I guess most ICFers who curse dynasty politics now understand why it is done. Uddhav, chirag, NCP Akhilesh all won while parties like Aiadmk are not winning anything because OPS, EPS, GPS etc none of them are popular. Jaylalita died without declaring her heir.
gattaca Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Dynasty have been loosing too. BRS lost even with KCR, Akalis lost, BJD lost. People elect leaders who connect with them. AIDMK problem is internal riffs between EPS and OPS and poll partnership with BJP could have won them all seats considering the vote percentages. Motivating people with in party is also important riff causes motivation issues. raki05 1

Akali's lost because of perception that they are not taking care of sikh rights. Just go and check health of naveen patnaik. He is in very bad shape. If he had a son Or daughter he could had handed party like lalu mulaayam. So it's over for BJD KCR is in infancy he got popularity for creating Telangana. Who knows when he bounce back. mishra 1

bowl_out Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 If ADMK had better succession planning, this wouldn't have been the case. Jayalalitha was numero uno and wanted to be that way till the end in the fear of being backstabbed by her successor. If he had found and named her able successor during her lifetime, this EPS OPS rift might not have happened. My point being the successor need not necessarily be from the same family raki05 1
