You're expecting refs to give India a break in Hockey 

 

Not gonna happen. Indian player is lucky for not "interfering" with the Spanish player. Even if an opponent hits an Indian player on the head with the stick, they're gonna rule that the Indian player tried to deliberately damage the opponent's hockey stick.
