Root is just one successful Ashes series down under (helping England win or draw the series) away from dethroning Smith as the greatest Test batsman of this generation.

And yet avg low double digits in India when the ball spins :pop2:

Right now Smith's monstrous 2019 Ashes is what's separating the two.

Smith was also epic in the 2017 BGT in India. Have never seen a visiting batsman create so many issues for Ashwin, Jadeja. 499 runs in those 4 test, 3 100s, we were so close to losing that series...Aus had chances in Bengaluru as well as Dharamsala.

Root hasn't had any high impact knock in India....the 200 he scored in 2021 Chennai wasn't the same track as the ones Smith scored on...and Jadeja, Axar, Shami, Umesh missed that test....our weakest ever home attack since 2013.

Many Pak fans believe that the only reason Pak didn't win 2023 WC was because Babar was insecure of Abrar and didn't select him.

Around Asia Cup, WC time last year he was hyped as a generational talent. When people would talk about Kuldeep Pooks would make it sound as if Kuldeep was nothing compared to Abrar.

For them and Bangladeshis, India losing or some Indian record going down is a source of national pride. Insecure people.

I have seen this even on chess streams...they have no representation but whenever Gukesh, Arjun, Pragg go down they get more joy than the victors...double the joy if our boys go down against players from Muslim majority countries like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran. Never mind that most chess players from those countries are non-believers, atheists, secular folks, who even visited Chennai and Mahabalipuram temples during the Olympiad 2 years back. Many from Iran have defected because of their stance against the mullah regime.

Do you remember even their ISI/military generals and politicians tweeting like maniacs when Khawaja won MOTS in a ODI series against us before 2019 WC....a series Aussies won. Same Khawaja who earlier drew a test in Dubai by batting for 10+ hours, and also helped Aussies win a test series on Pak soil in '21 or '22.

Beghairat qaum.

Let them keep whining while we remain dominant in all formats and hopefully add more ICC trophies.

They have rooted against Sachin since the time of Lara. The number of fathers they had from jaya suriya, de Silva to Waugh bros to now Smith and Root to just root against Sachin, is hilarious

It is criminal to treat your cricketing guests with such a pitch.

Is se acha to koi cylinder waigerah fat jaaye aur series band ho jaaye
