They have always been jealous of Sachin.

 

Imran Khan always tried to downplay him, even his compliments were sprinkled with sarcasm, and he was the first one to try and push Inzamam as equal of Sachin.

Root hasn't had any high impact knock in India....the 200 he scored in 2021 Chennai wasn't the same track as the ones Smith scored on...and Jadeja, Axar, Shami, Umesh missed that test....our weakest ever home attack since 2013. 

 

Smith has a few more great overall series but Root's consistency is out of this world. Smith has regressed big time post COVID and Root went two levels above in the same period.

 

And to be honest, Smith's Pune 2017 knock was lucky af with multiple dropped chances. His other good innings came on flatter wickets.

I have seen this even on chess streams...they have no representation but whenever Gukesh, Arjun, Pragg go down they get more joy than the victors...double the joy if our boys go down against players from Muslim majority countries like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran. Never mind that most chess players from those countries are non-believers, atheists, secular folks, who even visited Chennai and Mahabalipuram temples during the Olympiad 2 years back. Many from Iran have defected because of their stance against the mullah regime. 

 

Do you remember even their ISI/military generals and politicians tweeting like maniacs when Khawaja won MOTS in a ODI series against us before 2019 WC....a series Aussies won. Same Khawaja who earlier drew a test in Dubai by batting for 10+ hours, and also helped Aussies win a test series on Pak soil in '21 or '22.

Let them keep whining while we remain dominant in all formats and hopefully add more ICC trophies.

I see a scenario 50-60 years in the future where Pak has made peace with India on India's terms and Pak men/women work blue collar jobs in North India.

Many great knocks have had luck.

 

Sachin was caught behind off Steyn early on in 2010 Cape Town, not much of an appeal and umpire gave not out....he was 49* then I think. Rest is history.

That will be our demise, frankly speaking.
Europe is burning exactly due to same problem, US will enter in the same zone 10-15 years from now.
Keeping them away is the best way to go, even cancel the medical visas as well.
