They are professional players. Played well and got the reward. Now time to move on.

India is brimming with young talent. Time for geriatric "heroes" to retire. They should have done years back.

At one point both Kohli and Smith looked invincible, now look at Kohli while Smith somehow is trying to regain form but still looks rusty.

It's a humbling experience as fan when you realize that nobody is bigger than the game.

Smith yes, Kohli no. Kohli only looked invincible in meaningless bilaterals. The moment there was something at stake he crumbled. E.g., his ICC knockout failures, WTC failures, BGT failues etc.

Smith OTOH was often the last man standing and changed the course of the match single handedly. No comparison between the two.

It doesn't matter if Kohli even retires after this match. For me, Kohli has always been an albatross around India's neck for too long. Can't get rid of him but we had to keep carrying his weight all along. He did more damage to Indian team than good.

One of the greatest white players ever seen, mediocre in tests.

Average white ball player too. When it mattered in crucial World Cup games, he struggled. Even in the last World T20 final, he almost lost us the match with his slow batting only for the bowlers to rescue us when all was lost and thanks to SA habit of choking. Otherwise, Kohli was good in less intensity games and not really good in highest impact matches.

There will be a few more chapters added to the legacy by the time they're done... there's the SCG Test to go, CT from which they won't drop themselves and screw us in another tourney, the next WTC cycle, and finally the 2027 WC where at least one of them will be around to phuck it up for us as always.

They'll absolutely make sure that Bumrah retires before them and he never gets a chance to play with fully functional team without any baggage or dead weight.

Clown + Vadapav = Legacy of Disaster

Clown is atleast a passionate guy. You may empathize with his emotions some times.

But Vadapav is lifeless. He is the aaloo of indian cricket team.
