1. Short the markets by buying puts of nearest expiry with your entire networth of x billion 2. Declare tariffs on China the next day. 3. Sell your puts and see your networth double/triple in a single day. 4. Rinse and repeat.

This seems to be Donald Trumps current presidency.

No. Don't get fooled with Hindi chini Bhai Bhai again. Till CCP is in power therr is no path forward.

The issue is that Chinks do not have the baggage of monotheisms. Western society has been built (ironically) and corrupted by church.

Hmm around 10 million indians in the west. Not much in china...

Yeah, coz West, courtesy of their colonialism have accumulated massive amount of wealth...and they need manpower to do their work.

Indians are in China, Singapore and Japan as well. But West offers bigger area and language familiarity.

If we start migration there and take processions outside in the open, China will also hate us

Depends on how we behave as well.

Possessions were reintroduced during British Raj to unite the Indians together, coz that was the need of the hour.

As long as, we celebrate our festivals within the designated areas, keeping in mind the comfort of others. It wont be an issue.

I have been to both West & China...Chinese do have a better understanding of Indian traditions and the respect for those in comparison to West. Though, China feels we are West stooge and have no cultural identity (to some extent thats correct as well).

There was a editorial in global times. The ccp mouth piece.

It wondered how india is able to survive inspite of so much chaos. It also said that even a percent of that chaos would unravel Chinese society.

They do have respect for our culture and heritage. But not so much for our current state.

Trump is basically POTUS version of Baba Siddiqui.

Just asking:

what is the view of Muslim elite on Taliban and Deoband? Do they view them as dirty useful idiots to be used for their power pursuit or as a blot on the islamic identity.

I visited in 2014 for work purposes at Shanghai
Did visit few places like Jade Buddha, Shanghai Museum, Longhua Temple, but back then my interest was more into electronics and gadgets. It often seemed to me as if I have ventured in a different world as India was very different in 2014. I won't call it a culture shock, but more of a tech shock :cantstop:

Though, I feel the surprise has gone now, India and Indians are more prepared for such differences, in comparison to 2014.

Current version of India seems western to them. Although, majority of Indians are still rooted to their culture, but the elites or the vocal ones whom they often interact are just too anglicized.
Anyway, fault is not theirs. We too never promoted our culture, since 1947, we adopted the Anglicized school of teachings instead of going back to our roots. Now, with so much water flown, it's very difficult for us to pivot our education system (coz any such change will attract protests, and a potential loss in the election).

Yes, language issue is there.

Its manageable if you're in the cities, but once you venture to small towns...you will struggle. Plus Google translate and maps doesnt work.

Food wise, oh, where do I start.

You have to be very cautious, you can find some veg restaurants, but eating the food isnt natural to our taste buds.

I relied a lot on the Cup Noodles, Fruits and bread. Even though I eat non veg, I was always concerned about the ingredients.

Stick to Indian restaurants if you can. Do a Google Search of the veg restaurants for areas you want to visit in the mainland China. It will help.

Things are fine though in SAR China (HK and Macau). If you're sticking to these places, needn't worry much.

Slightly different dynamic this time with the tarrifs. This guy must have just realized over the weekend that China (unlike let’s say Canada) ain’t gonna NOT retaliate. And hence these social media antics.

Now the market recovered more than half of it pre trading. It all depends how soon the call with China happens for a complete recovery n even more upside.

Basically these clowns need to give away something back. Probably ease out (some) of the AI related restrictions or an assurance that no further hostility on that front. That’s when this index is probably gonna hit more records. I hope China retaliates before the call / talks. That’s more buying opportunity. Some of the people who probably entered Friday evening for a shorter horizon may even close out Monday first half to book the move.

edit - just realized that the Trumps tariffs are in effect starting November 1. No reason for China to retaliate until then. This changes things a lot. I think we will probably get a full recovery pretty soon.

We are not keeping in mind the comfort of others. Lots of videos by Canadian, Americans Aussies on idol immersion in rivers lakes. Why should they even accept this

They should accept it if it's legal. If it's illegal, they shouldn't.
