Its a mix of multiple things. Starting from Op Sindoor...it seems we bashed a lot more than what were claiming. US it seems suffered losses, not only of F16 but potentially some US personnels and Nuclear stockpile. 

 

Relation started to take a u-turn since then.

I read some "excuses" that Russian engines weren't preferred coz they are heavier and require high maintenance. Plus the plane has to be massive and engines wont fit for LCA which is supposed to be small and lightweight.

 

Well, we have been flying Mig's since 1960. And Sukhoi 30 MKI is the backbone of our Airforce...plus bigger jets with double engine produce high thrust and super maneuverability which single engine cant or wont. Even now Russian jets are known for their dogfight capabilities and we have the ability to optimize the software to keep it future ready in terms of radars and avionics.

 

Whichever Govt babu, ministry and IAF leaders were in power when the design was finalized for LCA Tejas...they did a grave injustice to this nation.

Supreme Court immunity decisions has all but made him a dictator in his mind. He just told he could do anything he wants because he is the POTUS.

I think France offered Safran's M88-4 for MK2 along with some aspects of ToT... But baboos went with GE.

 

French are most reliable Western partners in Europe as they do have some semblance of sovereignty about them.

 

No wonder we rejected UK who were offering lucrative deals and went with French for AMCA engines.

A smarter POTUS would have fed military intelligence, provided diplomatic backing to India during Op Sindhoor.

 

Then used this fact to tell the Indians, see how useful & dependable we are. We could do more if you invest more in our weapons & buy more oil from us than Russians. Give us a few concessions on trade.
 

But here is US, it is in the cusp of losing indo pacific to the Chinese.

Uddhav-Raj came together, Nitish-Lalu joined their hands briefly for their own gains. You give enough money to Pakistan and even their general will start barking against US.

Waise, India ki ek purani adat hai, jab tak laat nahi padti tab tak ham sudharte nahi. Atleast now efforts are being made to diversify and find out new areas.

Indeed...US lost a opportunity to choke China.
Had they supported us in Op Sindoor, it would have opened an entirely new front for China. But not sure, who are the think tank in US who came up with an idea of poaching Pakistan....now they've lost India and have given China to run unrestricted. Russia too is feeling emboldened coz 2 of his allies are joining hands. Pakistan as usual, will become another black hole for US (like Vietnam and Afghanistan).
