Yes, But dropping Samson somewhat make it right now.

 

Even KL instead of Samson in middle order is right. But guess Jitesh will seal his spot by the end of next T20 series.

This team is good enough to win the cup despite Gill in Indian conditions.

T20s are fast game,even on a slow turner games change within 2-3 deliveries let alone an over

Flat beds,I need not tell you Gill will hurt us badly with his intentless approach

Jaiswal over Gill is a no brainer. But no point sulking when we know Gill will be in the playing XI.

 

If Gill plays at his career strike rate of 140+, we should be fine.

They can be swapped as per the opposition but personally I will play Arshdeep every single game.

I think we will find that our T20 level is so high above the rest (with IPL helping ofcourse) that even if we carry gill as a passenger, we still should be expected to win the finals.

depending on the pitch i would definitely play Kuldeep with Varun.

The issue here is most of Ind players does not play anyother leagues where they have to play in all the positions.

Other players do so the player are more able to adopted what-ever role is given to them and move up-down the order.

 

In Ipl if Ind star player has to change the position or role than the entire team is set that way. The team is set-up for that player's success. Other players have to suffer/change their roles and positions.

 

It works for those player in IPL and then when they are brought in Ind side it does not.

 

KL is example, Kolhi opening works in IPL but failed in wc baring the final, Sanju played at # 1/3/4 based on position he thought was available in Ind side but he never did well in mo for Ind side , that is all because Ind team is not set-up that way which supports their style of play/game.

I don't think Sanju Samson has had a consistently good IPL. Good innings yes. But not consistently good knocks over a season with good strike rate.

informally amongst the players and tm and others a season of 450 runs is considered as good 

This season he played 9 games and scored 280+

Think all are decent seasons.

The Indian T20 team is a juggernaut in this format.

I expect 5-0 or 4-1. Anything less than that, it would be slight dissapointment.
