It's not a secret why Indian team across formats looks better without these two dragging them down. BCCI and selectors to be blamed for continuing to include these shameless pieces of shytes in the team.

 

I thought being clean swept to a poor kiwi side at home would break the camel's back and get them pushed out. But nope! Here they're destroying our chances of a win in Aus. And I'm sure they'll be there to derail us in another ICC tourney (CT) next year. Never seen players who delivered so little extended such a long rope for 0 returns.

I don't know why these blind selectors can't see that T20 has become our best format now because of infusion of youngsters. A format which is very unpredictable, we have old Australia or WI kind of numbers in that format for last year. And this was the format on which most of Indian fans had given up.

Wrong. It was Kohli's arrogance. They wanted Kohli to stay as test captain and give up T20 captaincy. Kohli took it on his ego and refused this arrangement.

Abso*inlutely yes - his batting was in shambles because of the pressure of all 3 formats! He could've chosen to be the bigger man but ended up being the *ing midget he's always been, same goes for RGS now

Lost captaincy in LOIs, getting Test captaincy for Sharma was more of a by product of getting ODI captaincy. Sharma who was not a certainty in Test XI, not only he got his place secured but also got captaincy on top of it. This is where the blunder happened, Selectors made the same error with Dhoni, giving red ball captaincy to white ball players, this kind of error in judgement is not new in Indian Cricket and its selectors.

It's not an error in judgement, it's the way the system has been since eons - the captaincy is arguably the most powerful position in Indian cricket. Only 1 or two players have been more important consistently than the national captain during their playing careers. SRT being the obvious one, we simply have not accepted this multiple power centers/multi polar thing in our nation!

a split captaincy option would probably have been the best, but it didn't happen. multiple parties at fault IMO
