It's a standard part of a fast bowler's arsenal and Bumrah himself used it a lot earlier.

We cannot wrap him in cotton wool but need to find better support pacers to help him bowl full tilt.

We expect him to act as seam bowler, short ball bowler, yorker bowler.  Cummins bowls short ball spells shortly only briefly. Him being the captain he can decide when to bowl.

Every top rung fast bowler, in the history of test cricket, has used bumpers when needed as well as surprise bumpers.  And yorkers are Bumrah's speciality and biggest tool. Cutting it out would be his own loss.

Rohit over-bowled him in the MCG test as he was given very little rest in-between spells. It was cruel and stupid on the part of Rohit.

But in other tests, his workload has been very similar to other pacers. Good test match pacers can and do bowl 20 overs a day.

Indians don't say such things about Akram, infact he is appreciated in India more than Pakistan.
Waqar miya was the first to be fined for ball tempering....it was caught on cameras and ICC fined him.
It's no secret what he must have done when there were no cameras. So does Imran Khan who has confirmed on air in 1994 that he did ball tempering.

If that makes you narrowminded , pinheads happy, I don't to derail the topic , as you guys do all the time . I will not join other people in the world to accuse Bumrah to have illegal action and won't say its BCCI which protecting him , that's BS and I , being a true follower of the cricket , admire Bumrah as the best all format bowler in the world and potential to be an ATG.

Steyn and Rabada bowled / bowls about 50% of the times in SA, where pitches and conditions provide pace, bounce, seam and swing. There are no other places which do so. I feel Bumrah is actually a better wicket taker than both on flatter tracks.

Waqar would have taken less wickets without bottle caps etc.

And would McG and Amby have been as economical if they had to bowl to T20 hardened batters ?

The only area I feel Bumrah is lacking is the ability to take >= 7 wickets per innings.

Most of Bumrah's tests have been abroad in pace-friendly conditions. Peak Steyn is a better wicket-taker than Peak Bumrah is, but Peak Rabada is not. McG and Amby would have been fine in most eras - in fact, in this T20 era of shoddy techniques but at the same time with spicy pitches all over the world, I would not be surprised if their ER may go up, but overall avg would actually go below 20.

While it's appreciable that you don't consider Bumrah's action illegal...the fact is even if you do...it doesn't matter coz ICC considers his action legal.

Secondly, the links I presented are hard facts as they have come from ICC itself. You can be an ostrich and bury your head in the sand...but from an unbiased perspective you are coming as a buffon.
