Haven't heard any update on Kohli playing in the Ranji trophy. Should be dropped if BCCI actually takes it's own opinion seriously.

Hard to play Ranji if he is vacationing in UK. He can try county cricket and give some slip catching practice there.

Asian cricketers are so entitled!

This generation of asian cricketers.

Kohli played his last domestic on November 2012 at 24 years

Sachin played his last ranji on October 2913, one year after kohli, at 40 years of age

No confirmation frm rohit too. he jst joined mbi team for practice session. looks like they are just wanting for the storm to pass. what if they do not do well in ranji too

there were news that kolhi will play in eng. county season which falls in same window as ipl, this can be his pr who just pushed something to divert the actual issue.

media discourse is already shifted to non-cricketing thing, leaks, who did what, new rules... how much luggage can they carry ......

these are irrelevant news , tell them to the player to the logistic manager and team manager and ask them to enforce it strictly.

Pant has made himself available for Delhi. Nothing on Kohli and Rohit.

You seriously expect those two entitled pricks to play lowly domestic cricket?!

They find playing even tour and practice matches beneath them and you expect them to play domestic cricket with other FC cricketers? My advice - don't hold your breath.

The problem with them is if they say yes and did not perform that well and right now performance would mean nothing less than 100.

failure will attract more criticism, its catch 22 situation for them.

At this time they shouldn't even be considered for selection no matter what they do. They're close to 40. Kohli's reflexes are gone and Rohit's fitness levels are a joke. Even if they miraculously fluke a 100 in domestic cricket, it wouldn't change a thing. They're walking wkts and any half-decent bowler would fancy his chances of dismissing them cheaply.

yes both needs to go, but they can not be rested ICC mandates boards to send their best side to an icc event and not sure when was an Ind player dropped and who was he.

these days they are rested or have some kind of fever, infection or some personal reasons but not sure any1 has been dropped in last 4/5 yrs.

What the other guy said basically. They know they will get exposed even at that level so are avoiding it. Kohli especially would have got owned by any Ranji tweaker in the duleep trophy which he was asked to play before the NZ series.

Best does not mean biggest names else we would be taking the field with Tendulkar and gavaskar. It's the best team selected which can win  the tournament. Neither of the two is an automatic pick these days.

yes , was indicating that now ind players do not get dropped the term "dropped" is not used as it hurts their brand value.

so players get injury of convenience so that selectors can say that we are not dropping them but they are injured, had infection, fever etc.

those kind of excuses will not work selectors would have to use term dropped, unless they get injured
