Varun C deserves to get into the ODI side

honestly cant judge him on this patta but he is a wicket taker so a better option than rusty Kuldeep.

They are doing the same thing what they did to siraj, siraj was good red-ball bowler but they brought him in white-ball and in next 2 years he is neither white-ball nor red-ball.

 

Varun c. is a mystery bowler who relies on cutting out time for batter to pre-empt or get into power stance to hit him for 4/6 and that getting him wkr.

In Odis or longer format batters can wait play him out, or play one line if they are not able to pick him.

 

Poor selection from Ind, it is same kind of selection they did in 2019-t20i wc where they picked bunch of spinner bunch of halffit/injured players and hopped that they win and with captain under pressure to prove a point.

this sounds fair but we got to give him a shot,maybe the mystery factor will help us in a short run.

Historically odds are if he plays more of odis and longer format the mystery will be over.

There are bunch load of spinner in Ind cricketing system but not many mystery and t20i wc is in next 2 years...

 

And trying to add allrounders and extending batting, its better idea if any bowler play is a special/above average bowler

It's a toss up between Kuldeep and Varun. We can't play both as it shortens our already weak batting. Maybe Kuldeep can play against Pak and Varun C against the rest.
