Desi Reggae artist A really talented Reggae artist. This is his most popular song internationally and also used as a soundtrack from the Jim Carey's movie Dumb and the Dumber. This is also one of my favourite songs. Mariyam 1

Tillu Posted January 7 Posted January 7 This song was ahead of its time and is from the album Aby Baby composed by Bally Sagoo. I believe the colour template and musical themes of all the songs from this album were inspired from Enigma album which was a rage at that time. We can also see the ever beautiful Shobana ji in this song who did the Malayalam original of Bhool Bhulaiya for which she got a national award for the best actress. Mariyam 1

vvvslaxman Posted March 21 Posted March 21 This song opening is copy of an Ilayaraja song that was released year back Original intro coffee_rules 1
vvvslaxman Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Outside of ARR songs Hindi songs all had this "tuk tuk" sound in all the songs. Same instrument. NO variation. Tunes were good. But the music director didn't exactly explore anything. Ofcourse there were some nice variations like "Pardesi Pardesi" which has hauntig banjara vocals. But overall they have a formulaic beat to every song. I will give you an example This is sort of a template. This is a nice tune. Beautiful voice of Alka yagnik elevates it. But the instrument they use was the template music from 1990s coffee_rules, Tillu and Mariyam 1 2
