This is what I think too. But India won't select 4 out and out seamers. They haven't picked a squad for that.  Thakur doesn't count.

Atleast they should Play Three proper pacer along with Thakur and Jadeja. 

 

England will attack with bazball so we need to plan things very well.   field placement is going to Play very important roles. 

 

Can we Play kuldeep because he can exposed bazball cricket even on flat pitches.

Bowling Shardul is extremely risky. It means we will have to rely on Jadeja who averaged 55 odd in England with the ball on the last tour. 

 

Need 4 solid seamers to keep pressure on Bazball with Jadeja helping to rotate the seamers.  India should forget about batting depth till #8.  

 

Bowling strength is more important in Test cricket

The problem is none of our batsman are able to bowl.

A fourth pacer should be ideally selected, but we need cover for top order collapse.

There is little bit of Joe Root in Jurel's style of play.  He hangs back a little. Solid backfoot player like him.  You are right extra bounce did him in Australia..  an extremely soft dismissal in Perth after he looked a million dollars.

 

I don't think he would start straightaway but you never know... He is leading this India A outfit so selectors rate him pretty high that's for sure.

 

Needs to have huge impact these couple of games.  

Nair favorite to Start as of now.  

Sai is being seen as long term top order option so he is already a potential pick

I'd play Kuldeep as a specialist spinner considering his record against Bazballers.

And Root always gets done by the bounce in Australia too. It's a pretty fair comparison in terms of style if not output.

 

But I don't think he should play as a pure batsman. Should  only play,  subject to Rishabh's fitness and form
