NRI Arrested For Fatally Hitting Veteran Marathoner Fauja Singh With His SUV

In a major breakthrough in the veteran marathoner Fauja Singh hit-and-run case, the police arrested one Amritpal Singh Dhillon late on Tuesday. Identified as a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Amritpal Singh was arrested in Kartarpur, his home town. Amritpal Singh Dhillon had recently returned from Canada and was the one driving the SUV at the time of the accident.

Sad way to go. This legend had to come to India and become victim of hit and run, fate can be so cruel. Om Shanti.

He was quite popular in Indian media in 2000s, there used to be a trend of covering prominent/achiever Indian origin folks in the West, there still is albeit reduced. How about UK @G_B_ @Ranvir? One of the more recognizable desis?

No way was he 114. A lot of Indians lied about their age to be allowed into the country.

Great achievement in running those marathons at such an advanced age but ultimately a novelty act, we need actual athletes.
