Did India lose credibility when the “cheap” Russian oil did not result in reduced prices at petrol stations for the common man ?

This excuse doens't work. Others can be worse so we should never question the current government is not something anyone will buy. Its the goverments third term and most they have delivered is just PR.

I am sorry, most Indians don't buy this excuse, nor are they stupid enough to believe one party will always be better than the others no matter how much social media PR it's supporters do.

When have I said not to question the govt?

Why does the opposition not raise the real issues? All they do is vote bank politics of their own kind. Wether minority or caste based.

Yeah, why not. Jab kuch hoga hi nahi to compare kisse karoge. None of things even existed during UPA.

It didn't exist during UPA so we should never criticize and we should just accept our fate and never try to improve.

Brilliant brilliant logic and shows exactly why india never break throughs as a country.

This is the mentality always holding us back. Always thinking of party party over country.

Why are you not raising the issue? Are we kids to depend on others all the time?

No one cares for the opposition who are not in power. People will question those who are in power.

This is a very immature logic you are using. Crying opposition, opposition every time is not gonna fool anyone.

Stop playing this party, party game and think of nation as a whole for a change.

Who said not to criticize. But are you guys really criticizing ?

Criticize on ethanol issue, criticize on Asia Cup, call out on illegal infiltration, jet engine delays...brain drain...I will be there.

But calling out that infra is worse than UPA...I mean, come on. Thats an hilarious argument to begin with.

Bhai koi nahi so raha tha...job ke liye poore India me ghum rahe they, lock down kid nahi hai idhar.

Gaps hai to there is nothing wrong in highlighting them. I supported you on Asia Cup debacle. But calling ki UPA me infra achcha tha...itna jhoot to na bola jayega.

If Congress had been in charge entire media would be blasting them for this Russia deal and people like you would be first one crying corruption about the oil purchases and business men involved.

This oil purchases is bigger than any corruption people like you accused congress on, whether it's bofors or anything else.

One party having better PR and buying media doesn't make it better than other, most people can see through social media and PR.

If might fool some gullible people, but not all Indians are so gullible.

The oil purchase from Russia saved us from severe inflation. Even the hardcore Indian leftists were praising the govt on that one.

Obviously the big businesses like Ambanis will get the deal coz only they have the capacity to refine it. That's how business works. Deals between countries are done between their big business houses.

Congress still has all the global leftist PR in the world. Even most print media in India are still anti-BJP, pro-left.

That is a **** excuse. Keep living like this because other side is worse -

We can question the government on spending patterns but not on cleanliness.

Hard pill to swallow, but in general the subcontinent junta minus SL and Bhutan are prone to being dirty. It is what it is.

That's a valid point.

No Indian with sane mind would approve the play with Pakistanis. We shoukd have nuked those converted pigs during Op Sindoor...ghanta koi kuch karta. Ek baar ki takleef hoti but next 100-200 years ke liye kachra saaf ho jata.

Modi govt has failed in lot of matters, specially in topics of West Bengal where they left their cadre to die.

bhai, lets leave it.:wp120: We cannot convince each other.

I am living in a different India, where the common man is being squeezed like never before.

The local municipalities do have direct responsibility for keeping their area clean. But they are corrupt and inefficient to the core. Some like Indore do a better job which others can learn.

Nahi bhai, I believe that the government has only 10% role to play, it's all on the people. Indore, Pondicherry are unique examples but median wise India has a cleanliness problem.

We can produce world class computer science talent that challenges Russia, so I refuse to believe that we cannot do simple things by keeping our surroundings clean.

Indians have awful civic sense but it's the still the Govt's job to bell the cat. Do the danda, impose heavy fines. Identify local sources of pollution and crackdown on them. It's not rocket science.

Many of the municipalities don't even pay the salaries of sanitation workers for months. Why will they do such dirty work if they aren't even paid properly.

Modi did a much needed thing by starting the Swachh Bharat abhiyan but that needed a more holistic multi pronged approach where the local govts are actively involved.

Lol yeah. Indians now have habitually started wearing seatbelts (even me) all coz of heavy fines being imposed by traffic cops(who do that keeping their own monthly collection targets in mind more than anything else).

The local authorities should do the same danda to curb pollution. * pe laat maaroge to sab sudhar jayenge..

This is only way that works. The cameras that have been installed for traffic violations can also be used for this

Modern facilities are needed too
