I am always fascinated by A teams to see who the selectors view as next in line 

 

Who should be in the squads for the four day and ODI matches? Australia A series starts on September 16

 

Asia cup going on at the same time too

 

How is :

 

Easwaran 

 

Paddikal (he doesn't open much anymore but who else is the options? Don't say Mhatre)

 

Sudharshan (or is he a "senior" player now ?)

Akshay Wadkar (WK , of course he won't make it)

Sarfaraz Khan

Tanush Kotian

Harsh Dubey

Shams Mulani

Gurnoor Brar

Yash Rathod, Yudhvir Singh, Kishan

 

I think Jurel has graduated out of the A team now.

 

No wrist spinners are there. Is Enaan too young for now? He was not great for u19 in England though only one match in foreign conditions.

 

Mahesh Pithiya could make the squad as another offie. 

 

Also Who are the good young openers coming through? Andhras Shiek Rasheed is highly rated, he's a no 3.

I like this, explosive openers, deep batting with powerful finishers. Good death and new ball pace men. And bowling options

Devdutt just misses out.

Hm you're probably right but there's definitely ways to improve on that so let's hope not. Plus a home series they'd want more spin options

Somethings never change! Sooda still tracking India A team as seriously as he used to do 16-17 years back! From the days of tracking Murali Vijay, Pujara, Rahane, Kohli, Rohit, Badrinath Chawla, Vinay Kumar in the late 2000s to now, that's 3 generations of cricketers well tracked

He's injured, and I think they are cautious with Rutu's elbow injury so he's not picked as well for that reason. Fair squad to be honest.

Surprisingly decent squad!

 

Sarfaraz got an injury playing in Buchi tournament unfortunately for him

It would have been good if Harshit Rana got to actually play these 2 A-team red ball matches instead of warming the bench in the Asia Cup.

Sindhu loses to Suthar & Harsh.

 

Though, Sindhu seems to be a better batsman than both, and has become as good as Suthar with the bowl. Harsh had an exceptional last season but it remains to be seen if he can keep up.

Not sure whats the obsession with Khaleel.

Seema BCCI has made a habit of rewarding every budhau pacer playing in the FC.
