Not many players can play over the age of 35 its mostly about their marketability or unavailability of replacements.

 

In most of the cases replacements are made ready by that time, but can not create similar kind of marketability.

 

Player who are not as marketable -- Ashwin, Pujara, Rahane, few bowlers like Umesh and Ishant retired and there was not fuss because these ppl were not as marketable.

Sometimes I feel like an old man shouting at clouds when I react to the current standards of journalism in this country.

 

NDTV hasn’t verified a single thing and there is no actual data provided except the claim that Sharma ‘passed’.   On top of a flagrant disregard for the basic rules of journalism, there is a flagrant disregard for grammar (‘result of it’). 

 

Oh and as an aside, the media source quoted is owned by Boria Majumdar - remember that guy?  Wriddhiman Saha would like a word

All the players who featured in the tests on August 30 and 31 have passed it, as per RevSportz Global. It added that everyone was impressed with Rohit's physical appearance and his peformance at the Centre of Excellence during the test in Bengaluru.
