I think it has to do with us winning 2 series in Australia and want us to have the exclusive bragging rights of the only team winning there in the last decade. So we tend to support Australia against all the other teams.

That and Australian players r just more likable and often play a big role in ipl - results or otherwise.

Nah. Just that we hate pompous Poms more. 

 

In the WTC final, everyone here supported RSA. Same when Aus played WI. Aus will get support only when against Poms and Pooks.

Agreed. But everytime, we write them off, they still end up winning tournaments and Test series showing what a robust system they have. 

 

Their system is the envy of the rest of the cricketing world
