Can’t write off after one game, pace is a natural gift. Can be improved upon however yes Mayank looks more impressive

And Mayank has played more upper-level cricket, and seems to be finally hitting his stride.  We need to be patient.

Got regular indip in his 3rd over, when he bowled fuller.

He has a good outswinger too. Saw it against SL-A.

His issue is too many short balls. If he rectifies this, he will be good.

He is short so only occasional bouncers will help him.He needed to be on fuller side to be effective.Let us see how he does in other matches. But he has too few matches under his belt to be ready for prime time.

No need to push him too soon only to see him fail.

Playing these guys in these developmental tours is good exposure.

He needs to play more first class cricket. He is not white ball bowler. More of test match bowler that too if he is groomed nicely

He has to play all three formats more, you cannot groom a  bowler to be red ball bowler only with all IPL contracts being given to even trundlers.

This tour is fine, I was talking about England tour.He was rightly not picked for that tour.Mayank on other hand should have gone there.

He is 6'1".  But lacks the natural  bounce of similar height Mayank.

He needs to attack the stumps at pace. His indip and skiddy pace will get him wickets. And he can use bumpers and away going balls as surprise.

Are you sure he is 6'1", I saw somewhere he is 5'9. It would be interesting to see him stand next to Mayank.

Looked nervous initially..its his debut match..let him learn

You are right, it is understandable, he might have been nervous.Big day for any player, very normal to be nervous.

I was talking in general, I saw him bowl in IPL too.

Mayank should have been fine for Ireland..would have struggled a bit in England due to much superior English batting against pace and bounce..He needs to be in 150s..to trouble them from pace perspective..this is a good confidence booster for him..

and first of all..we need to him to prove fitness by playing this entire series..

All These high pace/bounce bowlers...we need to be patient with..hopefully they will get more fitter and accurate..and smart under the guidance of Bumrah

I saw him few years back in RPL..he had pace but was getting hit a lot there..so he is gradually getting accurate..and from that  perspective..I was kind of relieved he did well..hopefully he keeps getting better..
