Abhishek was a batting alrounder. He was touted as a teen batting prodigy from Punjab at u16 level itself, more than Gill but he never progressed as expected.

Not even Gill was hyped. Only shaw had hype. Infact abhishek took 4 years to transform into what he is now. He was a tuk taking lower order batsman who was good against spin. Moody and Lara converted him into opener. He evolved over a period. This is not the Abhishek that played u19 wc.

Not moody/lara think it was Yuvi, think he was going through pjb team and looked at Abhishek and told them he can be developed into batter.

He was on the bench for srh most of the times and then they asked him to develop his batting ,then he started playing in top order for pnjb and 2 seasons back srh took a punt on him.

Abhishek and Gill were kind of a known names in pjb age grp cricket but there was no hype like Shaw who was seen as next sachin.

He looked exceptional in that U-19 wc with his stroke-play but has not progressed much lately even in their domestic t20 league he has not scored big.

Shail Pareak (or something similar) LH batter has some timing and stroke play think he is picked by some ipl team this season

Yes LH batter..I saw him against Aus u19..guesd he hit a century..due to Svanshi..he isnt getting limelight

Yuvi has been instrumental in recent development of pjb team, he spots the players and trains them on and off.

Tries to find IPL contract for these guys which is a big thing. Both him and bhaji encouraged all the players to play all 3 formats and be available all the times.

Think they only had speedometer in that mavi-nagarkothi U-19 wc have not seen them after that.

From the ind vs eng u-test speedometer , henil was slower than Ambrish. Deepesh touch 130-133 kmph. , Henil bowled till 127 kmph but then slowed down, Ambrish was 125-128 kmph sometime think he got to ~130 kmph.

So can assume they may add 2-3 kmph in white-ball cricket.

Absolutely no point looking at speeds in red ball cricket at this age.

Can't take the workload of bowling with pace for that long.

None of our reliable fast bowlers have ever come from U-19 cricket in at least a decade.

Not tall or durable enough to have long careers I suppose .

As long as Henil is not an age fudger, I think he may have a future playing a little bit for India.

Mhatre highly resembles Rohit and quite erratic early in the innings he will take long long time to find his game just like him

Hope he plays FC and scores and then get into A games, another player like badada Vada is always welcome

No , speeds at U-19 level matters. And it matters more and more now as they can only play 1 U-19 wc and next step is U-23 ck nayudu cup which is 4-day game.

And now with domestic t20 leagues it becomes important.

Yes they will not be in playing 11 straight away in U-19 but have to develop quickly, as in U-23 players come in goes out every year. So take 1 season of warming the bench 2 seasons of playing ck cup 1 year where most boards tries them out in their top team (ranji, vht, smat) and then after that it state senior team (ranji, smat, vht).

Domestic t20 leagues has opened up the avenue for player who are not selected for these Ind/state level u-19 to show case talent and hence no bowler are coming from U-19 any more.

In last couple of years it was net bowlers in IPL team who were making to ipl teams then after Ind.

And as now most if not all state board have their own domestic t20 league player will come in that way.

They had for 2010 wc. Unadkut clocked 139 phone. But speed measuring technology was different there. I think they took the highest value of the three values or so.

Pak U25 looses vs Eng U19

Ali Raza showed his tactical side by letting ball get collected by WK and got himself runout
