This guy has with his fielding alone has changed a few games.  Run outs and catch. How the heck do you practice these catches? We have these slow moving guys who are in their mid 20s. Iyer, Tilak, pandya, Rinku are proper athletes who can cover ground. Rest are all mhe.

All the Anglo players are multifaceted in their approach towards the game.

If they fail in one aspect they try to contribute towards the team's success in other aspects which makes them push boundaries of what's possible unlike our players who just go through the motions preserving their bodies for the IPL.

Even our women players are better fielders and divers than our men's team.

There was a time, especially in the 2000s when fielding was treated as an important aspect

But over the last 10–15 years, the emphasis seems to have slipped. While batting fireworks and bowling variations dominate headlines, fielding has quietly gone down the drain. Dropped catches, sluggish movement, and missed run-outs have become far too common even at the highest level

Reminds me of young Viv Richards who didn't contributed with the bat at the WC final 1975,but his 3 run outs were game changing.

yea . Moments of magic.  Labu's fielding actually saved Australia from losing in the world cup after making 380 odd.  IN 50th over he made a terrific save.

Just watch ashes cricket .. ICT is just boring … labu had 3 screamers one every test that were game changers .. plus smith screamer and Carey keeping and fox broadcasting its real cricket no BCCI tamasha ..

beautiful well kept venues in-depth story telling , great post game , pre game … ict , BCCI will just double down on IPL which honestly looks like cheap gas station strip club / casino combo

These guys are not even young guys.  Pure muscle memory. The reaction is amazing. You can't even practice easily as the ball was dying.

All I remember is Kohli standing in the slips and dropping sitters. Or our lethargic youngsters like Sundar, Abhishek or our bowlers like Siraj who drop sitters and can't bend down in time to stop the ball. Pretty discouraging.

It is one of the easiest video to find. BUmrah suffered a lot because of our useless fielders  0.49 seconds

I feel so bad for Bumrah and our pacers in general. Bumrah's average would've been a couple of points lower if he gotsimilar level of catching support his Aussie counterparts did. Plus would've a few more ICC titles if he got a similar level of batting support which likes of Head, Smith and Aussie batters provided to Aussie bowlers.

Our napunsak star batters could neither take catches nor score tough runs. And the fall guy for their utterly pathetic and shambolic performances has been Bumrah and the bowlers. And Kohli was the main reason. Dropped sitters while standing in the slips plus averaged 30 over 5 years at no. 4. Essentially, no support provided as a fielder or as a batter and then so called "fans" blame Bumrah and bowlers

These guys are just mentally sharp period they are on all the time … amazing sporting culture . It starts at the grass roots , with footie , soccer , tennis , swimming .. it’s just there. So the pride of playing and missing out is higher . Also they peak at the right time

In India the competition is so high the young ones peak earlier by the time they make it , I feel they are burnt out ..  or lured into IPL money ..

so the likes of sky , kohli , rohit really don’t need to care .. they have to perform for brand

imagine Starc he turns down IPL money to play ashes .. he would have make $5aud atleast ..

will bumrah turn down IPL to prolong his test career ? I doubt it ..

Mark Waugh has taken better catches and in a more elegant fashion, this was good but not the greatest by any strecth of imagination.

Mark waugh , Dean jones were trend setters. Anyway this is hard in the sense that is not his natural hand and ball was dying also comparing with how our players shell even with two hands.

Azharuddin was the best I have seen. He was better than Jonty. Because Jonty was a specialist point fielder, but Azhar could do the unthinkable in any position. To think that a player from 80's was that good is phenomenal.

Kaif and Yuvi were crazy good too.

Azhar was at point. Slip cachin requires sharp reflexes athleticism. Also in Australia taking slip catches in those days were difficult as the ball comes at your rapidly.  Azharuddin, Jadeja took some great catches. But we can't compare with them in the slips. Dravid, Rahane are some of the best slip catchers we have had.  Sunny G was good too. Taking catches one handed with your wrong hand under pressure is quiet incredible. ANd this guy is 36 or something.
