randomGuy Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Perhaps the most important discussion point 1. China - The number of new babies born was just 7.92 million in 2025, a decline of 1.62 million, or 17%, from the previous year. 2. Taiwan 1.07 lac, Japan 6.67 lac babies born in 2025. Taiwan TFR 0.72 japan 1.12, china 0.95-1.0. 3. For reference, babies born in Nigeria alone in 2025 is arnd 7.6 million and Africa continent is expected to be 40% of world population by 2100.
randomGuy Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 (edited) OECD TFR.... look at how wrong 1994, 2012 projections have proven. Same will happen to 2024 projections.... world population will decline from sometime in 2040s. Edited January 26 by randomGuy

In my opinion, That is fine. At current level of consumption, we cannot afford these many people on earth. Especially indian sub continent. I pray we never cross $10k PCI. Else, it will be a environmental disaster. diga 1

Solar/wind/nuclear, battery and EVs will solve much of environmental and climate change issues but won't solve garbage burning, palari burning in India... that's primarily the making of lacking of civic sense. Otherwise why other global cities don't suffer Air pollution and why only (or primarily) the South Asian ones suffer.

Typically they conduct a function with 1000 people. 1000 plastic plates and around 3000 plastic water cups. They put together and burn it. Due to increased wealth mofos conduct a function for each and every occassion. Also garbage is getting piled up outside village borders. In Addition there is, Vehicular pollution Industrial Pollution Sewage from Urban areas. A cheap solution for waste disposal, that is suited for our PCI, does not exist. Till we get green technologies, for a average person, $5k PCI >>>> $10k pci randomGuy 1

The air of Hyderabad has deteriorated alot in past 2 decades. Same is the case in almost every metro city and even tier 2 cities. Indians have no one else to blame but our own people. Horrible civic sense.

This is easy and strong solution in long term. In this, many things in foundational years should be taught which will stay for a lifetime, including empathy, no honking, no loud music bothering neighbours, no throwing or burning garbage, segregating dry and wet waste, using less plastic, making n standing in queues etc. Most of the world gets it automatically but we unfortunately do not. So, we should teach these. No shame in teaching it, japan also teaches civic-sense in primary school. Edited January 27 by randomGuy

Horrible civic sense. Yes. Horrible Horrible CIvic sense. There is a reason behind this. Hinduism gives important to "self" than "group". It asks us for self-improvement or self-less service. But indian's morphed it into selfishness. The lack of civic sense must be declared a social evil and treated on same level as others.

AI says following "Buddhism and Jainism are like philosophical cousins of Hinduism; Sikhism is a cultural cousin. Taoism / Confucianism → ethical but not metaphysical match. Shinto → nature spirits, rituals (surface similarity) Islam / Christianity → very different (one life, one God, linear time)" India pakistan Bangladesh have 60 cr. Muslims as well. Situation is same more or less in Pakistan Bangladesh as well.

Our population is much better and should be 10x more cleaner. But alas, i do not see it on the ground. I believe current lot of indians have twisted the sense of personal responsibility that Dharmic religions give and have limited it to their family. They have nothing for anything beyond it. Of course, it is about people.

To gauge avg height of males, look arnd you, in your college class, at workplace, in your family (brothers, cousins). Average height these days 5'7 - 5'8 i.e. 170-173 cm. That is conservative estimate, my height is 5'8 and I was shorter than 50%+ males in my class. My cousins' have avg height 5'9. According to NFHS 5 survey, youngsters in India are upto 5 cm. taller on average than overall average. Northern vegetarian states are likely the taller. Jats(vegetarian) being the tallest and strongest, be it Haryana, Punjab, UP, Rajasthan, Delhi.. Edited April 10 by randomGuy Suhaan 1

They have managed to beat the genetic aspect and improvement in sports and athletics is for everyone to see Northern vegetarian states are taller coz of higher protein content they consume through vegetarian means and of course higher lactose tolerance is down to genetics. Just look at Haryana Meat eating Dogras of Himachal JK, Kashmiris and Pahadis are on average same height as a random Jat of Haryana Mallus mog everyone in South btw and are competing with North West. All females are around 5'6" to 5'8" But our boys, each of them will, comfortably cross 6'2" Edited April 10 by kepler37b

The North Easterners are definately shorter in stature and so are the Eastern Indians I have generally met or seen. The statistics imo are largely accurate representation. These are not BS but NFHS ones. Urban youth are exposed to better nutrition and kids in cities are taller in comparison. In Villages and semi urban centres the contrast is real. Even in villages, youngsters got taken care of better than their parents were. I am again saying for nth time, just see the heights of your generation in your city and tell me are they just 168 cm (5'6) avg as the data for your state says or are they 1-2 inches taller on avg.? I am saying youngsters, not all age groups.
randomGuy Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 (edited) 1. And obviously, mental and physical strength is more important than height. vegetarian Haryanvi jats or Brahmins or yadavs or gujjars etc. is equal to 1.5 chinese or could easily make a bhoot out of any non-veg south asian group. 2. All the blue zones (longest living regions) of the world have shorter avg heights, 5'6-5'8..more concentration 100+ age people. bigger bodies require more to be repaired than smaller bodies. I am not saying that people should strive to be shorter but it's a fact - shorter people live longer. Do not make height seem more important than it is. @Lone Wolf Edited April 10 by randomGuy

Just look at Haryana Report seems incorrect. It stops green right before Varanasi in UP, while in reality milk is a regular part of diet in east Up/West Bihar region and hence are easily digestible. That story of MSD drinking 4 liter milk, ofcourse it was a hoax, but it wasnt totally incorrect. Villages in UP & Bihar, milk is often the last drink / first drink of the night/day the moment people wake up. It looks to me as random drawings
