I often visit North eastern subs on reddit and found them realising the ills of being part of this country.

 

They developed a soft corner for China looking at all the racist attitudes from Mainland Indians.

Not enough calling out of this act by BJP/ other parties. Something tells me this is just a start and similar thing will be there in other states soon

Modern Indian state is a low violence conflict ridden society. People use sweet talk, law, victim hood, jaati, baasha to damage each other.  They might not kill each other like Syrians do. But we do it by non-violent means.   This law will lead to drastic decline in the quality of our institutions and kiss good bye to our universities accepting foreign students. This will also scare away quality faculty from joining these institutions. 

 

Also, it will result in flight of bright students( even dalit ones) to quality institutions to other south indian states.

 

The Kharge faction in KA Congress is responsible for this mess. Hope the practical ones like DK Shiva kumar oppose this and save the state.

Don’t have high hopes on DKS. He will compromise to get power, but this bill itself will not be passed for sure

I think RaGa lost the confidence of corporate houses and no one is funding him. May be these antics are extreme steps to bribe the voters and get back to power.

General trend is GC's are leaving India in droves actually.  Even the hardcore pessimists have given up hope or are slowly giving up.

By the next decade when anti GC policies ramp up exponentially across the board coupled with unimaginable fall in their Fertility rates their importance and pull in poltical and socio economic activities would be negligible.  No one will cater to them and then there is not a lot left to do here.

Seismic changes will happen post 2029 census data... That will decisively change the course of this country

What are the anti GC policies at present? Caste based Reservations are a good thing. Should have economically backward 'lower caste' representation rather than creamy layer 'lower caste'... other than that it is good. Govt. servents aren't doing rocket science anyways and there's hardly 1.5% of people across country employed as govt servant...much of the group D jobs for ex. many qualified people anyways don't want to opt... Sarkari job lost its charm a long back.

I have total 9 cousins combined from pop and mom side. Out of all of them, I am only one left in India. All have settled abroad. 

 

All my btech friends, class of 2003 and strength of 20 boys, have settled in USA. Except 3.

 

The GC drift is real. 

 

And I can understand why.

The  diverse societies have never thrived in human history. 

 

There is a strong sociological reason why India will continue to under perform. I doubt if it will even reach $7k in per capita.

 

Not asking you to leave India, but accept its potential and it has more potential to become vishwa-vaiparithya than vishwa-guru.

Usa, Europe are also diverse...Europe saw merit in open borders, common currency, free trade etc. despite being different countries....

 

India ke problems hain... number 1 being people with bad civic sense, simple things like garbage throwing, not standing in queue... Civic sense inculcate karne ka best time is early school (say upto 5th standard). If that is done, India will be unrecognisable.

 

Other than that, people miss a lot of good things, a lot of excellent, unparalleled things culturally etc.. You might be living in a relative paradise but may think you a living in a hell. Gratitude is a good habit to inculcate in self.
