The  diverse societies have never thrived in human history.

There is a strong sociological reason why India will continue to under perform. I doubt if it will even reach $7k in per capita.

Not asking you to leave India, but accept its potential and it has more potential to become vishwa-vaiparithya than vishwa-guru.

$7k per capita will not happen with this rate of pop growth, GDP growth rate and democracy. We need a chinese style economic engine - capitalist , but autocratic to get that exponential GDP growth that China achieved in 90s to 2010s for two decades. Will the  the WEF let it happen?

I have total 9 cousins combined from pop and mom side. Out of all of them, I am only one left in India. All have settled abroad.

All my btech friends, class of 2003 and strength of 20 boys, have settled in USA. Except 3.

The GC drift is real.

And I can understand why.

Same here... Most of my GC classmates have left for abroad already.  Few are left who are single male child in the family or ones who have generational wealth already.

From what I am seeing this is rapidly expanding into Tier 2-3 cities especially.  I can already imagine the condition of metros.

Usa, Europe are also diverse...Europe saw merit in open borders, common currency, free trade etc. despite being different countries....

India ke problems hain... number 1 being people with bad civic sense, simple things like garbage throwing, not standing in queue... Civic sense inculcate karne ka best time is early school (say upto 5th standard). If that is done, India will be unrecognisable.

Other than that, people miss a lot of good things, a lot of excellent, unparalleled things culturally etc.. You might be living in a relative paradise but may think you a living in a hell. Gratitude is a good habit to inculcate in self.

I have all the gratitude to my ancestors that braved sullah barbarism and Jesus conversion gangs to maintain their native faith. I am also greatful to my ancestors that have produced great works of science, philosophy and medicine.

But the modern indians, that fight like dogs for jaat/paat/paisoo/baasha/reservations/doles  deserve nothing but deep contempt.

Things will change hopefully. We have anyway stopped talking about caste in tier 1 cities...no one even asks these days which caste you're from. People are extremely busy with their own life that they dont wven have time to talk with others.

Slowly trend will move to tier 2 & tier 3 cities. All those "unkles" and "aunties" who had too much of free time in their jobs is slowly evaporating. Govt. sectors are now being pushed to work harder, which has pushed the "caste" discussion on the backseat.

Best way to end reservation is give targets..directly linked with salary cuts. Keep people busy.

We are overpopulated with the addendum pop surviving on farm handout's. Pop crash might actually be good for us.

This is the SC/ST atrocity act extended to OBCs and Minorities. Imagine a GC teacher giving less marks to a bahujan or minority student  , can be booked under this new bill as harassment and he can be jailed. This will kill GC

Things are starting at national level too

Anyone who thinks Sarkari jobs is easy in India needs to see this. Not even a rarity anymore

I have myself seen senior managers enjoying the impunity to abuse and pressure their subordinates.

New age marketing tricks to promote the movie for Bollywood. Michael Jackson was the first international celebrity to use fans emotions to propel his king of pop image. It comes across as paid PR.

YRF cleverly used reels and social media, shorts etc to hype the movie I heard.  Music album was somewhat decent without remakes and they even made singers do all of it.

They got the hype and there is no shortage of Nibba nibbi audience in India.  We all saw it for re release of Sanam Teri Kasam that was the pre cursor to what was to come.

This is honestly God tier marketing skill for a nothing movie.
