tweaker Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Ashok Sharma and Karthik Tyagi, both should play the next series. Both should not be judged by 2,3 performance and should be backed for a long time. Both can be all formats bowlers and can be rotated along with Bumrah, Siraj , Prasidh and can learn from senior bowlers especially Bumrah express bowling, pramodk, bouncers and 2 others 5

Ultimate_Game Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Mohsin (if fit), Prince, Ashok, Gurnoor, Rasikh, Sakib, Harshit, Arshdeep are the ones who should be in the white-ball pace bowling pool to support Bumrah. Pace allrounders should be Nitish Reddy, Shedge, Madhav Tiwari to see if anyone can complement and replace Pandya in the longer run. tweaker and Manucrick 2

Rasikh dude you shamelessly love trundlers while dissing fast bowlers like tyagi. If you were our coach our team would compete with likes of uganda Manucrick 1

What I've seen of Rasikh, he can and Kartik can't. Let him prove me wrong. I'm not going to push for a bowler just because he bowls fast and then gets hammered and loses the plot. The reason we started winning ICC trophies is coz we started backing mentally tougher players like Axar, Ishan, Dube etc. Kartik is another Siraj or Kuldeep. Maybe he can be picked for longer formats but in shorter formats he's a big no-no.

Mayank hasn't replicated his pace and form from 2-3 seasons ago. And Kartik is mentally fragile. In fact I would prefer Tyagi in the longer formats where pressure would be less on him and nobody will go after him. Him and Siraj are better Test bowlers than shorter format ones.

There is saying in cricket that pace cannot be taught. Look at Bangladesh how they are encouraging fast bowlers and you want us to go back to trundlers like kamboj and rasikh express bowling 1

If there's anyone better by all means play them. But you can't rule against the guy without a cricketing reason.

On paper he shouldn't even be close to likes of Kartik, Prasidh etc. But I would pick Rasikh over them coz I know he won't implode and I can depend on him. He isn't a world beater but he won't buckle under and lose the match for you either.

For Tests...Gurnoor, Eden Apple Tom, Prasidh, Akashdeep, Siraj, Bumrah, Harshit are there. We can hopefully pull in Ashok as well and he can bowl lot of overs without breaking down, and is a good fielder and no mug with the bat. At the moment, only Akashdeep & Ashok are the ones who can not only contribute with bat & ball but also field well. Harshit too is there but his fitness can be a ? mark. Heard good things about Eden Apple Tom's batting/tonking ability as well...hope he is a good fielder. We need such guys. Ultimate_Game 1

Fast bowling requires you to be on your full potential...with all parts moving like a machine. Thats why it is a hard job and hence fast bowlers need more backing and opportunities. Problem is we Indians are usually impatient, we have this "show me more" syndrome. express bowling 1

Go and learn in domestics coz if another player is outperforming you in domestics, how can you be a better pick in intls? Pick him in intls but based on what?
