Contrast that to Bumrah, Shami etc. who always smile and shrug when such things happen. And mind you, catching in 2000s was much better than what our GOAT attack had to contend with in 2015-22. Swearing at someone when catch is dropped is ok. Doesn't make him obnoxious. The toxic off the field stuff is what others fall under and not Nehra. Off the field Nehra never demeaned anyone, didn't take shots at anyone and was generally a nice guy.

Nikola Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Didn't he recently say somewhere that it still hurts him to this day that Sreesanth's daughter said, 'You hit my father', so if he was really hurt, then why make such cheap ads for some extra money? This guy doesn't have any class. Also, Flipkart, which does this kind of ad, is even worse.

Praise the vision of SRT who recommended Dhoni's name for captaincy, compared to these other guys, Dhoni has always been so level-headed and mature, managing all these big egos and paindus wouldn't have been easy. The current crop of Indian players seems more grounded compared to the team we had back in the early 2000s Gollum 1

Likes of Sehwag, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Sreesanth, Gambhir (in terms of vindictiveness) and their immaturity was mindblowing. Thankfully Dhoni was at the helm and we had folks like Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar to ground them else there wouldn't have been any difference with Pak. Glad Dhoni became the captain and not Sehwag or Yuvraj at the time. In fact Raina was the only youngster who wasn't toxic in that group and was level-headed (except for the "nephew" twitter incident ) Edited May 1 by Ultimate_Game Manucrick 1

Saha was openly backing Pant and slamming his critics even though his spot was on the line, and Pant basically ended his career....no bitterness, just wholesomeness. Same with Dhawan who supported Gill despite him taking his spot. Ashwin's backing of Kuldeep, Sundar and even his non-stop praise of Jadeja on his channel. I am sure Bumrah, Jaddu, Shami, Siraj, Pujara, Umesh, Bhuvi etc. all are more supportive of the next gen, far better seniors and role models. Also even though Ro, Ko are superstars, don't think they bully newbies in the dressing room like Viru, Yuvi. I don't see any jealousy and superiority complex in this bunch. 2013-23 team will always have a special place in my heart. Despite lack of trophies, their test run and how likeable most of those guys were, special memories. I was a bigger Team India supporter in 2000s, but now many of those stalwarts irritate me.
