Kerala is an exception, but in some studies when this ratio is calculated, remittances are not considered a part of the GSDP. That aside, what do you want? To let Mah on the loot of tax ₹ so that ‘we’ don’t feel left out à la Punjab and Kerala?

As i understand maha debt to gdp ratio even with the revdi is very much under control and not increasing at a fair clip.

Yet the money was disbursed. Obviously winning elections was the motive here. Yes government providing food security comes from tax payers , but then why again provide claiming it’s for the same reason? At this rate, why not just declare ourself a socialist state and nationalise everything and distribute evenly all resources? Average income is 12k-15k pm, but we are talking 1.5-2k. Saves from exploitation, desperation, insurance (against disability , injury, old age). I am sure you can see the stress on people's faces. This is of the work pressure. Commends maha and guj for prudent fiscal management.

You are argument is coming off as: I am healthy today so I can afford to eat 10 jalebis now. Idea is to stay healthy not to compare to the chronic diabetic across the hall.

Have read about calculation of State GDP. they make distinction between state ( from an Indian state to another) remittances and international (from out of India) remittances and subtract from one state and add to the recipient in case of state remittances. Does alter the numbers for Kerala quite a bit. Let me try and source this for you.

Its constant since 2021 in the 18 to 19% bracket. There was an uplift to 21% but this was impacted by covid-19 related lending. I have seen charts trying to find them. My argument more like I can afford to support a segment of my populace without breaking my fiscal discipline.

But yeah, negligible hope from over represented 'educated states' TN Kerala. Bhai waise, Kerala gave 11.42% of votes to BJP. So all is not lost. A decade back BJP has 2 seats in WB assembly, now in Kerala they have 3. BJP got 3% in TN but thats understandable coz they fought limited seats. The moment they hit 15-17% number in either of the states...it will start adding to the tally. randomGuy 1

If I were to get a permanent handicapped in a car accident travelling our poor quality roads, will the government help me with any thing? Can my daughter avail any reservations? Can I get any benefit from my tax money? Health care? Education? Good governance? There is a large undercurrent of people who are frustrated being the ‘cash cows’ who are essentially paying first world taxes: Corporate taxes, Income taxes, plus surcharge on income tax with almost no marginal relief, GST, taxes on investment, stamp duty on property dealings. And what after all that we have nothing to show for it. Now all of this is not BJPs fault. I’m not doing party A vs party B. It’s the sorry state we find ourselves in. Merit has taken a back seat. If things don’t change and fast, educated people will move out. My siblings have. Business owners especially tech founders and service providers will HQ their companies in Dubai or now Singapore given the war and the formers’ vulnerability. People with a manufacturing set up will have no choice but to stay back. As will those who are sentimental. And I happen to be both. You have hit nail on the head. Most of the problems in this country stems down from two 1. Over population 2. Lack of merit Incompetent use tricks to topple the competents...when competent see that, he is forced to use his own tricks to win back. One thing leads to another and you end up with "revdi"

The citation comes from articles that are written by people hostile to the govt. If there was even a trace of truth in what you said - the opposition would have gone to town with satellite images. Satellite images ( before and after ) proved the destruction of Pak's several airbases and training centers ....why not provide them for your claims. Have you heard of Narvane's latest comment. Are you doubting the integrity of a former army chief ? So anya article that says anything against you is biased and we should listen to Republic TV to get source of news. Fine go ahead and edit Wikipedia and let's hear arnab goswamis take. But then he is hyper focused on Muslim invasion of India ..so China is not his cup of tea. Maybe the moron in suit in cnn news18 can educated viewers about Bharats fight against China. What satellite images..of border line on Himalayas. It's not demarcated. It's not damage that we can see..its the pushing of buffer zone...You tell me why is jaishankar saying for many years...that no normalcy unless status quo is returned .what is he talking about ? Please I am all ears. If China didn't take anything...then there is status quo..then why is jaishankar so upset. Now you tell me is Jaishankar ANTI MODI ANTI GOVT ANTI BJP...what the excuse this time . Maybe honorable PM can sit on an interview with pronoy roy or barkha dutt..promise there will be ac and no sweating..also lots of water and promise no karan thapar after last time. Total stage managed event except no godi media. He can explain the discrepancy and put it to rest. But hey we did ban tik tok and ensured India has self sufficiency in semicodnuctors and key tech so that we don't need to depend on Chinese technology. That's a big win. Hopefully BJP brings in semicodnuctor fabs in West Bengal...after all they have the oldest IIT ISI of the friendly kind IIM and jadavour and besu. I am all for it....best wishes Edited May 5 by straighttalk

Make people enforce cleanliness...fines and local municipalities pays there salary. Open huge waste recycling companies to recycle and reduce environmental waste. Provide employment to people Construction of roads in cities, pavements to reduce dust , green corridors etc will also require a lot of manpower and improve our infrastructure. Create a national online education service free of cost for people to learn English and basic computer skills and literacy. Not sure about this one but create a corruption watchdog team that can collect evidence and present it publicly. Use the manpower to reduce delays in service and judicial logjam but make it tech first as we are starting afresh. Open up manufacturing shops for everything basic so that we don't import it from China....that will provide employment.

Being a democracy, the moment one party starts that, the other one will latch into it with sympathy, and people will automatically run to the other one. Most of the states and municipal bodies, are cash deprived and are dependent on funding from state to bail out. And center have their own priorities whether its defence, railways, NH & energy security. Thats why most of the municipal bodies have limited funds and workforce coz they cant pay the salaries on time. Industries will help and has helped as well. But in the same proportion, the population has increased as well. Hence bodies like BMC, GHMC they are under sustained pressure to increase the connectivity first. Maintaining parks and greenery is additional burden which is still not seen as a "necessity".

There is a substantial section of society with enough liquid money ..who can afford and want this level of infrastructure...the problem. Is rampant corruption across every level of govt and every political party...that results in tax money getting wasted....your point s are fare hence a strict policy of fines across cleanliness traffic rules can bring in revenue. Follow the Singapore model. Enough rules might change the mindset...easier said than done ..

someone Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) On topic, the answer is No. Always because Hindus are inherently cowards. Be it with opposition fear tactics such as reservations withdrawal, or just being scared of heat, local goons, etc on voting day. We can use forums to discuss BJP, but what about vice versa? Those self-made leaders have seen first-hand on our own cowardice in all different levels. Edited May 6 by someone
