Shami done Bumrah is an ATG Siraj v good but both approaching mid 30's BD attack is younger and has more variety. They need to play Top teams in tests to constantly improve. Touring Australia this year for tests after almost 25 years is a good one for them. Point was at their peak in the late 2010s early 2020s

Also an interesting stat The much hyped Asif - 106 wickets, avg 24.36 Abbas - 108 wickets, avg 22.8 He will soon overtake Amir and Shaheen and is likely to go beyond Akhtar in total test wickets, by the time he retires That's the best part! Pak for all their boasting and chest-thumping about "Pace is Pace" have only one decent pacer and that pacer bowls at early 120s - the same pace which Aussie female pacers bowl at All of their so called "phaasht bowlers" have been out-bowled by a slower version of Praveen Kumar and Bhuvi in mid 130s would look like Malcolm Marshal in front of him New guy 1
AKane Posted May 16 Posted May 16 How does this supreme trundler Mohammad Abbas average 23 odd with 100+ wickets? Makes all test averages suspect in this era of T20s.
jf1gp_1 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Only interest I have in BD cricket is how much did liton das scored.
Gollum Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Watched the highlights, that was an exceptional 100 by Litton. He has this knack. Goes missing when easy runs are to be made, but when under the pump, conjures magic. Opposite of statpadder. Laxman and Gundappa Viswanath were like this from the past....not saying Das is in their class, but for a team like BD, he is gold dust. Lone Wolf 1
Lone Wolf Posted May 17 Posted May 17 How good is this Mehidyone of the finest all format off spinner going around. Shanu the King departs Gollum 1

Liton nearly manufactured that test win vs India as well in Mirpur Outta nowhere. That was an underrated inns ofc Chokli dropping his catches helped. Forever grateful to Iyer and Ashwin for that jailbreak. Gollum 1
Strangering Posted May 17 Posted May 17 As crappy as this is, I'm still enjoying competitive test Cricket. Tired of IPL. Glad it's close to being done Norman 1
Lone Wolf Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Midget Shakeel gone.. Miraz with another magical spell on a unhelpful surface
Tillu Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 The pitch was more helpful for the bowlers in the 1st innings.

Lone Wolf Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Bobby Badshah looking in Great touch.. cut above all Pook batters easily. I'll still stick with Taijul as Bobby can fall to left arm spin like Kohli any moment

I watched some highlights of the first Test and it was such a relief to watch some actual cricket again (no matter how low the quality is) instead of the garbage that is being served in I Pee L. Lone Wolf Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Maulana departs... Banglas with a golden opportunity to fetch a sizeable lead. Batting last here won't be easy against spin duo and Rana.
