They will not do it now because it sets a precedent on anybody blackmailing the government using hunger strike or protest to get a minister resigned or any policy changed. Tomorrow they’ll do the same thing for say the petroleum minister or the defense minister, what is there to stop them? BJP is under damage control phase where they will try to save its face by not bowing down to the protesters, but still get the minister portfolio changed in a better time. Lord 1
