Unable to understand the game strategy. Why is East Zone still batting? So, they dont want to win? They want to draw the match? Bizarre

Match was decided once EZ got first innings lead... There is no incentive to win outright now that the duleep trophy is theirs.

BCCI should cut the prize money by half for such boring stuff and drawing the game

Taking 20 wickets in this track is itself a challenge.

Once they got first inns lead.. game was done and Trophy won by EZ

This first innings lead comcept need to be eradicated if they want to develop winning mentality.

Atleast final should never be decided on first innings, even in league stage if you want to reward first innings performance award no more than quarter point

yup.  ON  a flat wicket it gives full license to bury the opposition with one long first innings.

MOCKERY OF CRICKET to keep on playing with lead > 600 runs  and no attempt made to force a result. It shows poor regard for the spectators who turned up . THey need to find a better formulae like Duckworth Lewis or give much greater weightage for wickets taken to ensure domestic matches are result oriented.
