M S Goni is gone...he can't even pick wickets in Australia... Good to see Amit Mishra among the wickets on australian pitches..but i don't see Raina in the line up.. why is he not in the playing XI..?
the squad left for Australia when Indian team(which had raina) was in paksitan for Asia Cup

even goni was in the asia cup squad, but is in aus. and i agree with theguyinallblue, goni is finished, he was overhyped. getting thrashed for over 8 an over by bangladesh, 0/57 in 9 overs in aus. its time we look forward to bowlers like sangwan, pankaj singh, sudip tyagi & dinda

Amit Mishra and Badrinath -- two unfortunate souls with no connections in BCCI' date=' means they have to wait really looong.[/quote'] add shikhar dhawan in that list as well if a player who was the top scorer in u-19 wc in 2004 scoring 505 runs who was the top scorer in 2006 eurasia cup who scored more than 300+ runs in ipl at a avg of 40+ who has a batting avg of 46 in list-a cant get into the indian team, then there has to be something wrong with the selection at a time when some unknown cr@p players like goni r getting into the indian team & getting thrashed for over 8 an over by bangladesh. also some players like rohit sharma get into the indian team based on quota. by now everyone should have seen the difference in talent between rohit sharma & shikhar dhawan. rohit sharma is nowhere near shikhar dhawans class as a batsman, yet rohit sharma makes it into the indian team based on the fact that he is from mumbai. and amongst youngsters, shikhar dhawan is 1 of the best players of spin. he is much better than the rohit sharmas & robin uthappas who get continuous chances for indian team despite repeated failures. none of them avg 30+ in odis & even their strike rates arent great also, shikhar dhawan was even dropped from the india a team in 2006 after just 1 failure(top end series in 2006), despite the fact that he top scored just 1 tournament ago(eurasia cup), was very impressive in the challenger series in 2005, even scoring 126 against a strong indian bowling attack. also players from places like mumbai & gujarat stay in the team for 1-2 years despite doing nothing looking at shikhar dhawan, even players like vvs laxman & badrinath can consider themselves to be very very lucky
