triam Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 It's disgusting and obviously not natural, but my personal view is to let people of that persuasion live their lives and make their choices, as long as they don't bother me, I don't care... Besides, every gay partnership takes away 2 guys from the competition, and leaves more chicks for us straight dudes... IT is not disgusting and it OBIOUSLY is NATURAL since a lot of animals do exihibit the same.
Captain of Bhangra Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 IT is not disgusting and it OBIOUSLY is NATURAL since a lot of animals do exihibit the same. Animals also live naked in the outdoors, most kill each other with no fear of repercussions, most eat their own sh*t, or the sh*t of others. I guess if they do that, then it must be natural for humans to do the same too, and not at all disgusting...
flamy Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Yup' date=' and that's when you break out the popcorn...:two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] damn, I was gonna make a crack at this. Yiu eez stolen my thunder. But it was worth it :hatsoff:
coffee_rules Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I don't want to know what everybody does in their bedrooms. Why do Gays/Lesbians want to declare what they want to do in theirs? I am in favor of dont ask dont tell policy. Do straight people go around announcing how their spend their time with their partners in private? I don't understand why gays want everybody else to know their sexual preferences to everybody else in the world.

beetle Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Ignore health ministry view on gays: Govt tells Court Mon-Sep 29, 2008 New Delhi / Indo-Asian News Service The government on Monday asked the Delhi High Court to ignore the views of its health ministry on removing a penal provision against homosexuality. Appearing before a division bench of Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah, Additional Solicitor General P P Malhotra said, “It does not matter what the minister (Anbumani Ramadoss) and the ministry's affidavit says. It is for the court to decide on the issue.” The centre's response was to the court pulling it up during Sept 25 hearing for speaking in two voices on the law against homosexuality. At that time, the government informed the court it was not scrapping the law - as the health ministry had suggested. Homosexuality was a "criminal offence" and would "disturb the law and order situation and create unnecessary problems in society", the government told the court. “If we scrap section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (that makes homosexuality a punishable offence), then it will disturb the law and order situation and might create unnecessary problems in the society,” Malhotra said. The Indian Penal Code (IPC) terms homosexual acts an offence under section 377, which provides for punishment of up to life imprisonment for violators. The government, in its earlier reply, had taken a contradictory stand with the home ministry favouring the retention of Section 377 and the health ministry opposing enforcement of the provision in cases involving consenting adults. "Indian society strongly disapproves of homosexuality and the disapproval is strong enough to justify it being treated as a criminal offence even where consenting adults indulge in it in private," the home ministry said in its affidavit. "Deletion of the section can open the floodgates for delinquent behaviour and be misconstrued as providing unbridled licence for homosexual acts," it had said. The health ministry, on the other hand, had said, "Enforcement of Section 377 can adversely contribute to pushing persons suffering from HIV underground, which would make such risky sexual practices go unnoticed." “Section 377 demeans a gay man. It silences a gay man into accepting the discrimination against him. He will not come out to declare his orientation,” said the affidavit, filed by the National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) that comes under the health ministry. The government will continue its arguments on Tuesday. http://newsx.com/story/29545 ................................................................................................................................. Stupid moron Shiv Raj Patil should worry about terrorists rather than what people do within closed doors with each others consent The SC seems to be in favour of changing the law but the govt seems to think otherwise. .

DomainK Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 Okay, tell me, how comfortable you will be if someone from the same sex proposes to you? Even in denial, will you react the same way as you would react to someone from the opposite sex (assuming that you are not homosexual).

CC1981 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 GOD created Adam and Eve , not ADAM and Steve.. 1. Humanity cannot come from a single couple - i am no authority in genetics, but i know plenty who are and they've ALL stated it as a categoric fact that you CANNOT have a species with our type of DNA composition, exist for atleast 100,000 years and produce 7 billion+ individuals from a single couple...that is too much genetic degradation due to too small a gene-pool at startup. 2. Before we get to Adam and Eve or Adam and Steve, prove to me that God exists in the first place. Lets get his existence proven before we talk with any sort of conviction about who this God created, shall we ? After you are done proving that God exists, prove to me then that the God that exists matches YOUR idea of God, not that of christians or hindus or Zeus. Knowing the lack of intellectualism in Islam(and to a lesser extent, all religions), i won't be surprised if NOBODY here takes up on my open offer.
CC1981 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Animals also live naked in the outdoors, most kill each other with no fear of repercussions, most eat their own sh*t, or the sh*t of others. I guess if they do that, then it must be natural for humans to do the same too, and not at all disgusting... 1. There is nothing wrong in nakedness if you arnt a sex-starved perv. Ever heard of the digambars ? those Jains walk around naked and are completely unaffected by seeing each other naked. I live in a house with 3 guys and i've seen some of them as well as their girlfriends naked and again, its no biggie. 2. What we find revolting/disgusting or acceptable is another issue- but how can you say something is 'unnatural' when nature ITSELF displays that aspect ? how can you say homosexuality is unnatural when there are dozens upon dozens- if not hundreds- of species who exhibit homosexuality in nature...if you are willing to reject that, then what is your basis of concluding what is natural and what isnt ??
CC1981 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Why do Gays/Lesbians want to declare what they want to do in theirs? Because it is their right to. Freedom of speech, dude. Why do you declare you to be a fan of Indian cricket ? why do people declare what they believe in ? Gays and lesbos believe in homosexual sex...let them declare that! I am in favor of dont ask dont tell policy. You should talk to some social service workers - both in USA/Canada as well as India as to how great your 'dont ask, don't tell' policy regarding sexuality is. Not only is that stifling, closeminded and utterly boring perspective on life, the don't ask/don't tell way of life sees the HIGHEST cases of child molestations, rapes, etc- because the talk about sex is discouraged in society, these things get glossed over too. So not only is your view a conservative, bland view on one of the most natural and pleasurable human activity, it is dangerous and indirectly helping the criminal aspect of sexuality. Do straight people go around announcing how their spend their time with their partners in private? uhhhh...YES !! Duh!! Never heard a guy bragging about bedding a gal ? Never heard a gal waxing lyrical about how great her man was the other night ??? You either don't have normal friends or have friends who's idea of sex is just as stunded, bland and boring as your's. Me thinks your level of sexual comfort, experience and knowledge is symptomatic of Indian society as a whole and why we are such a sexually backwards, stunted and repressed society as a whole...sad that our ancestors were 10 times more sexually liberated and open with their sexuality than you or the standard Indian is today and were actually closer to the western view on sexuality today than Indian.
CC1981 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Okay, tell me, how comfortable you will be if someone from the same sex proposes to you? Has happened several times actually ( i don't talk about my personal life here much, but i am a guy in his mid 20s, quite fit, fairly decent looking according to the ladies and gays and i am quite artsy- yes, i am a gay-attractor much the same way i attract chicks who prefer the artsy-metrosexual types) and its mostly been no different than me turning a chick down. I usually say that i am flattered but i don't swing that way and they mostly get the picture/are profusely apologetic about their proposal. Once or twice i've gotten the belligerent gay, who took it as if i was offended or wanted to spark a confrontation to save face. But dude, seriously, unless you are an artsy-metrosexual type like me, who is a neat freak and dresses well, you will not have to deal with this scenario. Gays are people too and just like most normal people, gays have a sense of self respect and pride too - they won't go ask out a guy who is obviously straight, just as you won't go ask out a chick who's obviously way way outta your league. They arnt just going to ask out someone only to get rejected - it hurts them just as much as it hurts us when we get turned down by a hot chick. Obviously, i won't react the same way, because when its women asking me out, its very complicated, even if i am turning her down ( read: i am not single) : i have to assess if i want her as a friend for long term, friend for now but somoene i'd wanna hook up with when/if i became single or someone who i totally can't be attracted to short of plastic surgery. Ie, regardless of whether i am turning down a woman, i have to consider the idea that she could be the next 'it' as bottomline is, i am a man who loves women. But with gays, it is a much simpler, firm 'no' because i know that nomatter what, i am not gay, i am not gonna find ANY man on this planet attractive and thus, there is zero-absolutely zero- potential for anything in the future- so usually i am more direct and less diplomatic about the turndowns, but not rude, for as i said, gay people still have feelings and its a double-rejection for them ( 1. i am not interested 2. i don't swing that way).
seedhi Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 It is an illogical argument to say that homosexuality should be legal just because it exists among animals. Arent humans supposed to have some laws and a civil society that distinguishes us from the animal world? In India at least the overwhelming majority is opposed to making homosexuality legal and until that opinion changes the law should remain as such. And no, it is not a question of personal freedom. Otherwise polygamy, sati, drug abuse, prostitution etc should also be allowed by that argument.
