cowboysfan
I am getting nervous about this.our fast bowlers have not made any inroads and i dont trust kumble's form. Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
What a silly question??? We are definitely winning this... Link to comment
cochise
Aussies will have to pull off a VVS Kolkata effort to get out of this one...possible but improbable. Link to comment
cochise
I still think an Indian victory is the most likely outcome...spinners have to do the bulk of the wicket taking though. Pitch should assist more and more from session to session. Link to comment
Laaloo
Yes we will win. Zak/ishant will rip em tomorrow Link to comment
SachDan
We will win this test comprehensively..Although Aussie batsmen has shown good application and dedication in seeing off 15 overs, life won't be the same tomorrow afternoon onwards if not before..couple of deliveries from Kumble turned and bounced sharply and that in itself was ominous signs for Australian batsmen. Sachinism
We just need to take a wicket or two and a collapse will start Link to comment
satishg
If we dont then Anil Bhai should resign from captaincy :D Link to comment
Dinx - the Jinx
dudes - they have playes just 15 over for 50 and some of you have already started writing about a draw. No way. We are definitely winning this one. 9 sessions to get 20 wkts... Easy... You saw how they collapsed from 49 for 0 to 58 for 5 in the second inninga in Mohali. I would also like to recall the chennai test in 2004 when they collapsed from 100 for no loss to 260 something all out on a first day pitch. Those who are talking about draw here are ppl who dont know test cricket enough. Generally in test cricket, wickets are lost in a bunch. There may be a partnership here and thhere and once the breakthrough is achieved, there will invariably be a few wickets falling in quick succession. And when that happens, the chances of salvaging a draw goes out of the window. Even in the Indian innings, once Gambhir fell, there were 3 wkts falling quickly... Same will happen tomorrow and day after. Hypothetically - If Aus batted first and put up 613 in like what we have done, I'm sure India would lose it too. I wouldn't have given anmy chance to India even if they had clobbered 100 runs today. We would have still lost. So you dont htave to have any doubts that Aussies may save this game. What we need to look at is when is it going to end? Sat last session or Sunday? Link to comment
sandeep
bhajji's absence will delay it a bit - but i think we will win this late day 4. Link to comment
Predator_05
If Harbhajan Singh was in the XI, then yes, a win would have been a near certainty. With a misfiring Kumble in the side, i don't see it happening. Australia will fight hard for a draw. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
One big advantage we have is our part time spinners are better than aus main spinners. On spinner friendly track Sehwag and Sachin will have a major role to play. Between some great deliveries sachin does bowl a few help-your-self balls but we have runs on board to counter that. Sehwag who bowls a much tighter line will get bulk of bowling. Make no mistake aussies have a great batting line up, lower middle has some power hitters and bowlers can bat. Indian win or draw are the only two possible results either way its going to be test cricket at its best. Link to comment
Ram
All hinges on Kumble. If he steps up to the plate and performs, we will probably win. If not, things look bleak. As an aside, Anil Kumble is the ONLY Indian team member who has figured in the playing eleven so far, who's had no impact whatsoever in this series so far. All the others starting from Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin, Ganguly, VVS, Dhoni, Bhajji, Zak, Ishant and Mishra have had varying degrees of impacts. Anil, so far, has been a total non-presence. Maybe tomorrow's his day. Link to comment
veer
we gotta win this.. we have to .. dont want a drawn series at the end.. Kumble gotta prove his place in this test.. if pitch is breaking, and with these many runs to back up, he gotta win it for us.. him and sharma need to deliver.. Link to comment
vadodaravictor
First session is very important tomorrow. If we can get couple of wickets then we are definately winning this. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Its going to be tough. Pacers are not going to do much. Ball is turning and spitting. Down to the spinners Link to comment
