While it sounds common sensical to take Israel's help, its a complex issue. India will *never* take Israel's help, at least not openly. Palling with Israel with hurt our perceived 'neutral' stance in the middle east issue and further anger the Arab world. Sadly, we are dependent heavily on these countries for oil, which fuels our nation.

A covert but a strong expression of displeasure to the Indian govt/intelligence would be the way to go.

why do you think Isreal offered help? I feel bcoz our media beamed zillion news flashes about Israelis being held hostages, they did not mention anything much about other foreign nationals. from Israel's point of view...when the whole world knows/watching live, do you think they will not offer help to protect their citizens...ofcourse they will.

I just worry that this doesn't turnout 'fake' for diverting attention from something worse Usually the modus-operandi for these buggers has been - go there - blow up the structure & yourself. But this 48 hour ordeal entirely smells of something else. Makes me quite worried. I pray that this isn't the case. I really really pray.

Piecing together various accounts it seems like some terrorists must have definitely escaped: 1. One of the foreigners evacuated yesterday said that he and 100 others were holed up in a room. When security came to save them one of the guests turned out to be a terrorist and started firing; kind of confirmed by the news that portion of terrorists had came in earlier and stayed in the hotel as guests 2. TOI editor sabin sehgal missing. One of her last messages was that the terrorists were in her bath room. Her suite was on fire at some point. However, her cellphone was tracked to raigarh 7-8 hrs later. 3. Reading the accounts it doesnt seem that there was a good process to take the escapees and register them or confirm their identity. Like one of the SWAT ex[erts said - in this situation you have to assume that any hstage can be a terrorist who is trying to find a way out. Hats off to commandos for putting their lives at stake but dont think the security forces did this well. Constant streaming of info to TV channels didnt help - even if cable was blocked off the terrorists had outside help who could monitor the news and keep them informed.

why does a Pakistani terrorist quite prepared to die provide an accurate' date=' truthful confessional to Indian authorities?[/quote'] Courtesy, 3rd degree. "Aeroplane" with lots of red chilli powder does the trick! A headshot is a less painful death, than a chilli smeared "aeroplane" up one's.
