I keep saying over and over : The single biggest reason we have gone backwards as a civilization is because of religion. First, the hindu Pratiharas vs Jain Rashtrakutas vs Buddhist Palas left the subcontinent exhausted, vulnerable and paved the way for the barbarian muslims to invade and genocide. Then its again, hindu vs muslim BS happening for centuries that've stunted our growth. What Govt can do: Declare National Emergency. If Pakistani Army crossed Indian borders, attacked Indian troops and killed 125 of them it would be a war by now already. How is that different from terrorists crossing into Indian maritime land, walking into Mumbai landmarks and slaughtering Indians? What Legislative can do: Give Mumbaikars right to bear arms. Considering Mumbai has been absolutely decimated by terrorists attacks in past 2 decades and Indian establishment has by and large been unable to stop it, lets atleast not stop the individuals from having the right to save themselves. What Mumbaikar can do. Dont go to work/school/college. For the longest time I have criticized why going back to work does not do anything. I have myself sat in local trains and went to work the next day, crossing blood stains on the way, looking at debris and kept on moving because everyone said that was the right thing. How the eff was that right thing? The day after next I slowly forgot all about it. Dont go to work, take to streets, take your Govt to task.

We are doomed. Nothing will be able to stop this. This will happen again and again and again. It will get worse and worse. A naval blockade of Pakistan escalating to high alert land boundary status meant to cut off cross border traffic. Secondly proposing a UN resolution to garner support from the permanent members to impose international sanction on Pakistan if they don't conform to UN inspections of areas that are a hot bed of terrorist support. And lastly bend over the Pakistani government backwards to see what counter measures they are ready to implement against terrorist elements in their country.
