Harbhajan rubs salt in Aussie wounds

NEW DELHI: Relishing every moment of Australia's misery against South Africa, star Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said any team can beat the Aussies who needed to talk less and play better. ( Watch ) An eternal thorn in Australia's flesh, Harbhajan could not hide his glee as Ricky Ponting's men stare at a series defeat at home soil against South Africa which also jeopardises their status as the number one Test side. "Any team can beat Australia. It's not that they are superior to others or they are the world powers or whatever. Other teams are getting better and it's nice to see people dominating them," said Harbhajan who had umpteen run-ins with the Australian cricketers. :cantstop: In the second Test in Melbourne, South Africa, leading the three-match series 1-0, require another 153 runs on Tuesday with all 10 wickets in hand to wrap up the series. Harbhajan could not help taking a dig at the under-pressure Australians and advised them to talk less and rather concentrate on improving their game. "I think they concentrate a lot on talking when others just concentrate on the game and do the basic right," he told Times Now channel. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Former captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi also felt that the era of Australian hegemony is over and India would emerge as the new super power in the world of cricket. "Every side goes through this up and down. I think with the retirement of (Glenn) McGrath and Shane Warne and Steve Waugh and some other top class players -- yes, I would say the total dominance is gone now. It's shifting gradually towards India," Pataudi said. "Perhaps a little bit of self-introspection is required for Australia," said the former India captain.

Harbhajan would do well to follow his own advice - considering how poorly he's been bowling off late. Would he have dared to say something when McGrath' date=' Warne, etc. were still in the team? You don't laugh at someone when they're down :P[/quote'] but isnt it true that Aussies always laugh and bully when someone is down ? isnt it true that they have been quite in this series while last year same time they couldnt keep it shut

So then when and if our team goes through a similar trough, you'd want everyone else laughing and ridiculing you as well ?

No mercy for the Aussies. They dont deserve any. Cheers Bhajji' date=' hit 'em hard.[/quote'] I agree with the no mercy for the aussies. Completely. On the other hand, it would have been nice if someone like Gautam Gambhir or Viru (since they've been actually playing really well) or Ganguly (retired thorn) says it. Bajji, after disappointing dart-throwing needs to shut it until he can back his big words up with big deeds, and learns to frikken FLIGHT it!
