flamy Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I'm a huuuuge movie buff. I just spent 5 hours trying to decide what movie to watch among the thousands that I have. As I went through them, I came across some movies that still linger in my head. There are some movies that leave a lasting impression. Let's list them here. Amelie - I can watch this one movie for the rest of my life. Oscar - This comedy still has me in splits after watching 40+ times. August Rush - Easily the best movie I watched in 2008. I shared it with my entire family and all of us immensely love it. Stranger Than Fiction - Stunningly original in the vein of Charlie Kaufman. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - A Kaufman CLASSIC! Equilibrium - Ultra stylish Christian Bale Thriller. Io non ho paura (I'm Not Scared) - AMAZING cinematography and a very original story. Beautiful movie that I can still see and feel as I type this. Before Sunrise - THIS is how love happens. The most original and REAL portrayal of "falling in love" that I have ever seen on screen. Before Sunset - The sequel to prove the MAGIC does not fade in true love. Taare Zameen Par - Scintillating debut by Aamir Khan. Excellent music and acting. Maa. :icflove: Freedom Writers - I'm kinda partial to "Teacher" movies because they are just so damn inspirational. This was a brilliant example. Sixty Six - A small movie that not many would've heard of. Very beautiful story. Must watch! List yours! :two_thumbs_up:

Wondered how Jackie shroff could gather AB, hot girls, Gulu as villian, Javed Jafferey as comedian adn still screw up things so bad Lakeer- had atleast 10 top names as heroes and still screwed up, how could the actors stand the boredom themselves!!! there are many many more for sure!!
flamy Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 Babàléto - Fantastic Czech movie. Shall we dansu? - Watched it today and would recommend to all.
DomainK Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Shawshank Redemption- an amazing movie. Is it still no1 on IMDB? Life is beautiful- Superb movie. Cinderella man- I actually enjoyed the match in the end. Great acting by the spoiled actor. Anand: I have known one single person who did not feed sad in the end. Sharabi- One of my personal favs......just because of AB's acting. Deewar: The dialogs and the scenes leave a lasting impression. Shakti- Again the dialogs. Some scenes between AB and DK were superb. Sholay- The most complete entertainer ever made in Bollywood. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge- Quite an entertainer. I watched this movie 15 times.....dont know why, but loved it. A Wednesday- Nasir is one of the best actors Bolly ever produced. The climax is amazing. The dialogs are superb. Rang de basanti- Makes you think. No one leave the theater smiling. Taare zameen par: A serious issue and yet a commercial hit. Only Aamir can do that (why did you do Ghajini you idiot.) Batman: The negative can impress. Matrix: Didnt like the sequels as much as the first one. The bourne series- all three superb movies. Will add more.....
