gult Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 finally the team management read amits posts & came to senses and decided that dhoni will bowl. good bowling with 8 overs & 23 runs. very unlucky to take a wicket' date=' although he had got pietersen. now imagine if a guy is bowling so well with almost no practice, then [b']how useful a bowler dhoni can become if he takes his bowling seriously. we do need a part-time medium pacer in the team and dhoni is the best option here hope dhoni bowls in the 2nd innings & picks up 2-3 wickets :orderorder: He needs to focus more on his batting and keeping. He is already captaining the side and no need of additional burden.

Yeah, he is wicket-keeping takes a lot out of you when you're captain of the side. But are we seeing rise a new batting-bowling-wicketkeeper all-rounder for India? :giggle:
NareshK Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Maybe get Parthiv Patel in place of Raina or Mukund and get him to keep wickets. Then Dhoni can be our 5th bowler/medium pacer option we lacked in overseas conditions. Parthiv Patel's wicket keeping against spinners is not good but that doesnt matter as Bhajji is not turning the ball much anyway and he is a decent bat as he showed in WI.
