bharat297
Mine would be ... Sehwag Gambhir Raina Yuvraj Rohit Y. Pathan Dhoni ( c ) I. Pathan / Praveen Kumar Ojha / Harbhajan RP. Singh Zaheer I would like to put Irfan in there, for sure, but I feel that 3 left armers might not be the best way to go. I cant see Ishant Sharma in my top 11 given his recent form. Link to comment
DomainK
A few of them are out of form, but hopefully will do better in the Indian team. Link to comment
someone
A few of them are out of form' date=' but hopefully will do better in the Indian team.[/quote'] well, i would think it positive that they were saving it for this tournament Link to comment

Singh Zaheer I would like to put Irfan in there, for sure, but I feel that 3 left armers might not be the best way to go. I cant see Ishant Sharma in my top 11 given his recent form. I think that's our top side as well. Given how well PK, Zaheer, and Bhajji bowled in the T20s in New Zealand, I'm not too worried about their form as PK got the ball to swing both ways and Zaheer was the standout bowler coming on during power plays to break partnerships and making it very difficult for Batsmen to settle. I would like I Pathan in the side as well since he does bring in good batting ability which is always a plus. In this scenario I think it would be between PK/Pathan because RP and Zaheer have to play. It's also tough to choose between Ojha/Bhajji but the fact is because we've got so many good spin options (Raina/Rohit/Sehwag) having two full time spinners would be too much and I will have to go with Ojha over Bhajji given his current form. gaurav92
my XI would be gauti viru raina yuvi rohit dhoni yusuf bhajji irfan/pk zak rps i ve also heard zak not playing t20 world cup as hes not fully fit...so pk and irfan both will play in that case Link to comment
diegovegaz
irfan, rpsingh, pk is our strongest bowling combination Link to comment
cowboysfan
Nehra could well replace zak if he is not fit in 2 days as they leave for England on the 29th. Link to comment
gaurav92
^^ yeah hes improved exhorbitantly..:haha: Link to comment
gaurav92
nehra is also a probability and so is harmeet singh he has done remarkably well in the semis and finals by not giving runs at a brisk rate..hes got 2 wkts of saurav gamguly and rahul dravid...:adore:...so he deserves to at least sit on the bench of the indian team...:hmmm: Link to comment
cowboysfan
i am not worried about our bowling at all-most of them are in pretty good form but batting especially the openers in a slight worry.hope some rest will do them good. Link to comment
gaurav92
^^^ yeah exactly viru gauti not in the best form...but hey flat england pirches and lush outfields.....they ll be back playing against minnows....hehe Link to comment
Cricketics
If Zaheer is not fit, then i hope Harmeet is not picked for him. I would rather have a in form Nehra or may be Manpreet Gony. Sreesanth sho uld be good too, if he keeps his antiques away Link to comment

jf1gp_1
If rohit sharma is going to bat at 7 then i would rather have irfan in team. Irfan the bowler will be handy in england and at 7 he is likely to do better than rohit. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Whatever it is we should not take preliminary games lightly. They must beat both teams comrehensively. Link to comment
umpire
if its swinging conditions, we need RP, PK, Irfan for sure if its flat wicket, 2 spinners might be good idea with both bhajji and Pragyan. But I doubt tht , Dhoni will use Raina, Yusuf and Yuvi. We have plenty of bowlers in our ranks. Raina, Rohit, Yusuf, Yuvi from our top 7. and 4 regular bowlers. That gives Dhoni 8 good choices. fineleg
^ Yes, bowling seems to be ok. Important things are: 1. VS + GG batting form - very crucial 2. What position is dhoni going to bat at? Can he accelerate? Just dont play the way you did in IPL semis. Link to comment
King
I reckon batting is in good hands. Sehwag, Gambhir, Raina, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Yousuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan is as good as it can get. In that batting line up you have a potential to use 6 of them as bowlers as well. That is truly one terrific bunch of all rounders. Harbhajan, Zaheer (if available) are no mug with the bat and can swat a few if included in the team. I'd go with RP Singh for the specialist bowling option with PK making up the bench if Zaheer can't play. Ojha will be my stand in player for Bhajji. I'd keep Ishant Sharma away from the XI but mind having him in the XV. Ravindra Jadeja will be my pick of players if I need to choose another. Virat Kohli would be a good choice too so too Pandey. Geez.... India is spoilt for riches in all departments these days. OK my XV will be : Ideal playing XI : Gambhir Sehwag Raina Yuvraj Rohit Dhoni Yousuf Pathan Irfan Pathan Harbhajan Zaheer RP Singh Bench : Praveen Kumar Ishant Sharma Ojha Virat Kohli P.S : It is bloody tough to leave out Ravindra Jadeja but Kohli has outplayed him this year though.
