Vijay.Sharma Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Does anyone remember that Japanese serial (dubbed in Hindi).. Oshin? Those girls were so cute...it was in 93-94
Prakat Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 ^ Oh yeah. Nice! I was thinking what the name of that serial was a few months back...
akshayxyz Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Those were the days when comedy shows made you laugh and did not require a background laughter sound. There used to be no advts. on DD during the movies. DD was great but went worse when cable TV started. DD started pushing too much hindi and no one in TN woud understand it. They stopped dubbing and were notorious in changing the show times. Mamaji, Bhumiputra, Junoon, see hawks (Best action serial ever), Shriman shrimati, Giant robot, Super human samurai cybersquad, Kanoon, Rajni (thought it was about Rajini for quiet some time :D), the sword of tipu sultan, telematch , Chutti chutti, flop show, DD's comedy show, OCean (probably spelt wrong..it was about some chinese girl), Guiness book of world records, Oliyum oliyum, chitrahaar, Heman, spider man, paru kanna paru (Dekh bhai dek). There is one other serial I used to watch. It used to come at around 2:30 and was about independence fighters. Forgot the name. Edit: The serial was 'Yug'. Peter gomes :D :D (may be) because of 'novelty' factor. There would be a point of time in future, when your grand kids will say - "Those were the days when 4chan made you (truely) laugh, without requiring jpeg representations."
Sooda Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Shaktimaan Captain Vyom Chandrakanta Mahabharat He Man Super human samurai Jungle book there were a few that I watched on DD back in mid 1990s-1999 Chandrakanta lol. That went for AGES didnt it, seemed like an interesting story though. I remember one ep where they blatantly stole a scene from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves- I mean did not even reenact it, literally used the actual footage- to show a swarm of burning arrows descending on a village or town of some sort. Also remember super human samurai cyber squad. EVERY episode was the same. A virus of some sort would invade a computer and this group of kids would go into their hi tech armour and repel it. Luls.
Rajiv Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 wat about Karamchand?????? Only intro so far oL8lg2HAe9Y
Sachin=GOD Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Does anyone remember that Japanese serial (dubbed in Hindi).. Oshin? Those girls were so cute...it was in 93-94 :itsme: DD should show all these serials once again - they are much better than the crap that comes on TV these days.
punjabi_khota Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Now this one is really not well known tv-series (maybe a few episodes in total), but I watched couple of episodes of DD show "Ved Vyas ke Pote" in mid 90s. It had a hilarious story, since basically the brothers realize they are direct descendants of Ved Vyas, who wrote Mahabharata, and hence are entitled to royalties from the show 'Mahabharata'. Somehow, they didn't telecast the last episode (where they go to court) when it was supposed to be on, and I had no way of finding out if it was ever telecast. ANYONE WATCHED IT ?????? :omg:

Some families still maintain records of their ancestors with pandas. If I remember correctly, they found about Ved Vyas when they visit Haridwar for mundan of one of kid (bhatija of main character) in the house. Their pandit shows them ancestral records which traces back to Ved Vyas and then main character learns about royalty. Who planted the idea of dragging BR Chopra to court? That vakil or some friend, don't remember exactly. Probably they take loan for fighting the case and paying fees of lawyer. It was really very interesting. Was it this show only in which they had some 'kaal ka pahiya ghoomta rahta hai' starting?

Ram Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Any fans of 'Suraag the clue..' out here? I forget which day of the week it was (Tuesday?), but the whole family would gather around to watch it together. We didnt miss a single episode for anything. For starters, by Indian standards in the 90s, it was extremely good. The best part was each 1 hr episode had a completely self-contained plot, from start to finish. So we never had to wait for the week's episode for the finish.
game_changerr Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 suraag was telecasted on monday,,,on tue it was another suspense seria''khoj''was telecasted
