Dont drop the catches. He'll give you chances, hold onto the half-chances. If you drop the catch, he'll make you pay for it. Link to comment

King
If we can't get him out, fight him with our own pocket monster "Virender Sehwag". He can pack as much puch or even more. Sehwag on song is nothing short of crazy. Remember 3 sixes of the first 3 balls of an overseas tour (India in NZ)? I bet none can do that, not even Chris Gayle. I can't imagine Gayle playing for DD and batting alongside Sehwag. That would be mayhem. Link to comment
Kartikey
guys, theyve got Chris Gayle so we've got Viru, Yuvi and Yusuf not to mention Raina and Rohit who can also hit. Link to comment
The Outsider
Taking pace off the ball is an option - Yusuf Pathan could be effective doing that bowling flat onto middle and leg stump. It won't be easy for Gayle to hit out his fastish top spinners on that line. Ishant Sharma with his extra bounce is also another option, but the danger with that is the angle Ishant bowls at he will have to be very careful not to give him width outside off stump. Perhaps a round the wicket line into his rib cage would be an option and try to get him out on a mistimed pull or cutting at something too close to his body. Link to comment
flamy
Ya lol, Yuppo opening to Gayle would be fun. We have some terrific matches lined up for our super-8. :yay: Link to comment
Kohum
Gayle can get out to a well disguised slower ball OR a sharp rising bouncer. Spinners - he will toy with unless it's a wide bowl stumping ... Link to comment
flamy
Just watch IPL and see how Gayle out. The Aussie match was so one-sided because Gayle got support in Fletcher. Link to comment
bharat297
Gayle doesnt move his feet that well, so someone who can swing the ball late willl always be a handful. Praveen Kumar comes to mind. Maybe open with Praveen Kumar and Zaheer Khan for the game against Windies, and bring Ishant on first change. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Don't give pace to work with. As simple as that. Otherwise Come round the wicket. Sreesanth had a wood over him if i remember. Link to comment
