The point is how much they improved.Nope swann had diciplinary issues but the main reason why he couldnt even replace Giles was he simply wasnt good enough let alone DF. As for Kumble just check how he bowled in 99 and 2003 tour to Australia. If u thing Swann or Kumble were half as good at the start of their careers like in their 30s then good luck. Just check Kumble's performances in 99 and 2003 tour of Aus.

What kind of runs did our batting give Kumble to bowl in 1999? If you expect a spinner to run through sides on good batting pitches with 500+ deficits, not sure what to say?

I was talking about how much Kumble improved in the 2003 tour compared to in 99 tour. Kumble after 2000 was a much better bowler than he was in 90's even at home.

Actually that comment wasnt about Jadeja.Just your general comment that bowlers wont improve too much. As for Jadeja i would definitely play his as 3rd spinner if are going to play on square turners.Would definitely pick him over Bhajji. Definitely wont pick him at no.6 ahead of Rahane or Tiwary or Rohit atm.But then we are playing Yuvi / Raina apparently just because they are left handers (Dhoni's excuse)

this as not score at international cricket level and scoring triple is not really rare in last few years jaddu scored one last year no ? he is same...maybe htis only proves our standard of domestic competition is really bad... im more worried after this then anything!

So if our domestic standard is really bad how many players have scored 3 triple century in their entire career let alone at the age of just 24. And werent u praising Shammi Ahmed because he took wkts against MP one of the worst domestic teams in Ranji?

nah there is difference i only rated shami ahmed after i watched him bowl... also bad comparison our standard of bowling is piss poor and tracks are bad for bowlers so if bowler takes hattrick and perform i will rate is higher then batsman scoring runs on flat highways are u seriously saying form what u have seen of jadeja he is cut for test cricket? come on people...thats hwy we jsut dont pick players on stats ... also why hasnt every one scored 300 ? plz read akash chopra's article how in last few years triple hundreds are coming much much quickly now... if jadeja plays inning like rayadu did today i will rate it higher then this 300... cos even last year after triple hundred he was found out at international level and irfan pathan batted 10 x better then him in australia! ashwin batted better then him.. people develop but this guy scored 300 last year too and batted badly at higher level now he has just done it again and im not convinced yes iget it u cant compare odi performance with tests but u do see how good player is even from odis..specially if they are away from home
