he is a really useless batsman.. never seen any slower and pathetic batsman in my whole life.. his bowling is brilliant but if he is pathetic as a batsman then no benefit going with him.. we can go with a frontline spinner instead

I concur. It's not like Jadeja is a tearaway spinner and the less we talk about his batting is better. IKP can bowl his quota of overs with a eco of 5-6 but he almost guarantees you quick fire 20-30's at the bottom of the chart which is way helpful than playing with a ***in SR of 30 :mad:

Dude, he is accredited as an all-rounder and is precisely picked for that reason. There is no such thing as "you didn't do it, so don't expect anything from me". On the subcontinental pitches we HAVE to bat deep given the pitches that are in offerings. Runs scored at a SR of 30 cannot be justifiable even for the tailenders.

I prefer Karthik at 7. When he is down the order he never stops taking singles or improvising if needed. Jadeja is neither a big hitter nor an improviser.
